I usually find that stores carry them.

Go Mac, Sis.
Mac everything. iPad, iPods, iPhones, iBeds, iToothbrush.

Best company in the world.
Some will disagree.....but they are so beautiful looking, right?

I think it may depend on what windows program you want. I prefer Windows 7 because it is a little easier to maneuver, but currently I have windows 8 and it took me a while to figure it out and I still am learning new things about it. If you prefer windows 7 I would go the used route, but that is my opinion. Good Luck.

HP and TOSHIBA seem to give the best value for the money (saying this based on prices in my country though). People say their laptops are usually good and durable and you can get a better configuration for the same money compared to other manufacturers.
P.S. I have ASUS though and I'm very pleased.

Windows 8 sux... throw a bunch of fragments together and call it intuitive. Seriously...?
I had a dream before Windows 8 was out, and in the dream there was TV and computer mixed into one. And the whole screen was fragmented and there were commercials all over it. They are doing this and will be doing this to completely unfocus and scatter our minds and arouse lusts and sow desires to have things with commercials, to buy and sell... this is what the dream told me...
Within a few months they put skype on TVs and Windows 8 was out... with a totally fragmented screen.
Next thing will be commercials with fragments like on web pages with a hundred banners.
Already now you cant watch a youtube video anymore without commercials. We wont be able to watch a movie or any media without commercials. Because they will build this into the very hardware.

SW doesn't like Windows 8 .....I think?

Windows are for looking out of.
Bill Gates scares me. ........Him, and Freddy Kruger.

Nothing beats Apple.
You know, I have a great recipe for Apple fritters?

BTW, Windows 8 does suck.
Toshiba makes a great laptop.
BestBuy scares me.

Whatever computer you choose make sure you get an antivirus. Currently, I have Avast and I have never had a single problem with it. I used to be an avid supporter of Norton, which is what my computer was installed with and was very disappointed. Good Luck on finding a good laptop.:)

Yeah they do look out for us silly people, we definitely need to buy and sell more and click on more commercials... constantly improving our user experience... I totally need to be reminded about other things that I might be interested in at all times even when I'm doing something else. That's neat, man.

If you want a nerd's opinion, go to ebay and get an off-lease Thinkpad for somewhere around $150. Every Thinkpad I ever got is still running.

Go to ebay's computers, choose laptop, choose PC laptop, select Thinkpad product line, select 4 gig RAM or more (if you want something that will still be useful ten years from now) and select a price range from $0 to $200. Choose "Buy it now" only. Sort by lowest price first, and look for the first T400 or T500 you find. Ignore the T60 and T61's, they're too old to be reasonably useful.

Avast sucks.. I had it on my puter and it slowed it down to a crawl.. took it off and reinstalled Norton 360, and my computer speeded right up again..maybe the paid version of Avast works well, but the free one does not..
