Why is it that some Christians make it sound like they have never been hurt before. I'm soooo happy that Jesus is working in your life! Truely I am! But where is he in mine?? Why can't you accept me for where I am at this present moment instead of throwing a Bible verse in my face? Is it really so hard to spend time with me? To talk to me? Does it bring you down when I tell you of my misery? Oh I'm sorry! I'll just go bottle it up until I do something stupid. Thanks a lot! NOT!

Note: this is not aimed at anyone on here. Also when I say "Something stupid" I mean exactly what it says because that is sometimes what empty words can lead to, what they have led to with me. I am not presently in that "stupid state" but I just hope to bring more awareness to the topic. Please do not think that I will go do something stupid because I won't.

JFS, God is working in your life, also. You're in a state of mind where you're so angry and frustrated that you can't hear him or see him. Clear the noise out of your life. What I mean is, go somewhere quiet, and pray or read your bible, and just listen. Make a list of all the blessings in your life. I can see blessings in you--God lead you here to CC, you have alot of friends here who care about you, and are willing to listen. :) You are blessed with each day that you wake up in the morning. You are blessed with being able to come onto CC and fellowship with us. You have so many blessings and if you stop and take stock of them, you'll see God indeed is working in your life.

As far as doing something stupid, well, we've all felt that way at one time or another. Just don't let it get the better of you. Rebuke those thoughts.

Generally, people don't want to accept that something could be wrong and that it doesn't align with a life that they would think it should be if you accept a certain way (this being Christianity/Christ). I noticed it's more on the prosperity type of teaching that people are supposed to be financially, mentally and general lifestyle stable and how 'transformed' one would be because they've accepted Christ. It could also be deeply rooted of fear of the unknown for them, therefore if it's not their problem then there is no problem.

I get pretty pissed off at this too, and it's not just within the Christian community.
