It's a great thing that in this age when the world seems perched to fall further and further into sin that a medium that stands to reach many is being exploited this way.
As the scripture says, no one is with excuse to say they have never heard of God and Jesus Christ. Especially not now when we are linked by a web that spans across the globe.
Praise God!

I've heard about this, but I'm not excited... a few reasons...

1) Jesus did was not "killed", he laid down his life for us, he could have chosen not too at any point.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. - I John 3:16

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? - Matthew 26:52-54

2) Jesus is not a muslim, but this one is.

3) Don't get your hopes up on liberal media portraying the gospel correctly. Read the Bible for yourself and don't believe everything you see.

I don't think any Christian gets their understanding of God from the media. However, the media can certainly be a tool God uses to peak those who are seeking Jesus to find him via that route.
All things happen according to God's will and for his glory.

As to your second point: No, Jesus was not a Muslim. However, the actor portraying Jesus is. There's a difference. An actor plays the roll of Jesus. He is not Jesus.
And thank God this man isn't blond haired blue eyed model like Jesus. Because that would not be fitting either. Furthermore, Muslim is a religion not a race. For all we know Haaz Sleiman an American who immigrated here from Lebanon, could be a Jew if we're judging from appearances. And it appears some are.

Haaz Sleiman, a surname derived from the anglo-saxon,Soloman, is Muslim. And? He's an actor. His appearance is closest to what Jesus would look like more so than actor Diogo Morgado who portrayed Christ in, "The Bible" and "Son of God".

This is a TV show portraying the book about Jesus that was co-written by Bill O'Reilly. It is not a church. However, if it gets peoples attention about Jesus so that they seek out the Bible to learn about the savior of the world, which is something O'Reilly's book can never replace, thank God.

Well said sis and yes thank the Lord they didn't choose a white blue-eyed Jesus - first thing I noticed when they showed Him as a baby.

Not all that they have Jesus saying is in the NT, but is fictionalized.

I'll wait for you guys to review it, I'm not gonna watch it..........sorry........I don't trust O'Reilly or Hollywood when it comes to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The other day, in an interview, O'Reilly said the book/movie was based on Historical records from the Jews and the Romans...........

Just a little math here.

The Bible has Jesus speaking about 6,600 words in His entire three year ministry.

That's about 1,095 days

6,600 words divided by 1,095 days is 6 words a day.

We know He spoke MANY more words than 6 on some days.

This would leave Him not uttering a single, solitary, sound for months and months on end.

Wouldn't make for much of a move.... nor much of a ministry.

Personally, what I saw of the movie before I just turned it off wasn't very good (but good film work and drama), so of course they have to have Him saying SOMETHING.

I'm sure it will make for a good movie...........that DOES NOT make it Biblical, and that is why I won't watch YET ANOTHER Hollywood attempt to profit from the Gospel of Christ.

What next? Atheists demanding to be hired as Preachers?

Chris Stone, founder of Faith Driven Consumer and Certified Brand Strategist, has issued the following statement: "Killing Jesus failed to earn more than thee stars because it largely ignores the divinity of Jesus Christ—a non-negotiable for the faith audience. This offering from Ridley Scott and National Geographic has strong production values and is entertaining, but its humanistic depiction of the Son of God—void of the divine essence of His life—lacks appeal to audiences who hold this as the pivotal and most important story in all of history and in their personal lives." I didn't care for it! Most of the words that Jesus said in the movie was created from the writers mind. Plus the man who played Jesus wasn't very emotional actor. His face was rather solemn most the time. I mean if you are portraying the son of God in film....creating miracles and healing people...the director shouldn't have to light firecrackers to get an emotion. I was disappointed mostly in this film. Won't watch it twice for sure!

Forgive me...let me say, I didn't watch the crucification scene, so I can't say how factual that was. My brother said Kelcey Grammar had a role? Are you kidding me? Whose next Jay Leno as a prophet? Cmon Hollywood! Sheesh!

I do agree with Christians though when they state that Hollywood portrays Jesus fictitiously sometimes. I mean you never know what they're going to do to our Christ next!
I mean what's next wouldn't surprise me if they ask Barbara Streisand to play Jesus! That's when I'm done with Hollywood lol...it can be ridiculous!

and that is about what I expected from Bill O'Reilly and Hollywood..............don't think anyone here is surprised either. It will be acclaimed far and wide by the unbelievers on news shows everywhere today............maybe...........

Maranatha!
