lookin for the real God

Sometimes i feel as if God has revealed Himself to me in a way He hasnt reveal to anyone. Am i alone???? Please tell me who God is and what i need to be to God

Lol thats milk bro. I need meat. I feel like everyone is striving to be better for God when God actually tells us we need to decrease so that He increases. I feel like everyone is ok with striving for God but what if He wants us to suffer as He suffered

He wants us to be filled with the Holy Spirit - surrender more than suffer.

I have always believed that Christ reveals Himself to us in the way that we need Him to. When I am sick, He reveals Himself to me as healer - when I am weak, He reveals His strength in me - when I am in need, He reveals Himself as my provider - when I am grieving, He reveals Himself as Comforter.

Ask a little child of about 4 how Jesus shows Himself to them. You might be surprised. I have been.
Then ask someone dying how Jesus is revealing Himself to them.

Hmmm. Now thats some solid food. I understand our God is big. Why do i feel i wont let go of my lust? Cant God reveal Himself as taking this sin from me? Its killing me and yet i find i am a slave to it cause i want it so much. I feel ill never stop falling and making that wrong choice towards my lust.

We haven't seen God. But, we have seen Jesus. And, Jesus said that if you knew Him, you know God. And what God wants from you is to trust in the one He sent to reveal the real identity of God...... Jesus. Nothing more.

I'd sure like to hear where you got THAT idea. He let His son die so you could keep on suffering????????

So, God revealed Himself to you in a way He has never revealed Himself to any other human in History, and you DON'T know who God is? Burning bush? Parting of the sea? Thunderous voice from above? How exactly did He do this?

Ya well even though God died on the cross we still have to die a flesh death cause the wages of sin is death. If you read everything paul write in the new testament he was sure suffering. And in the end all Gods disciples died horrible deaths. One even hung himself. Now God is a God of past, present and future. So when God called judah His Disciple, Judah is now His disciple forever and the time to come cause God does not change. So even though Judah suffered and eventually killed himself which everyone thinks he will now go straight to hell. God revealed to us that no matter what our end is. If He calls us His child there is nothing, no principalities good or evil no man or demon can take you out of the hands of God. And that includes yourself. God say all who try to obtain this life will lose it. We have to lose this life for His name. And thats dying this flesh of death

God created you as an individual. I can't tell you what you need to be because I don't know you. Just be this: be the awesome you that God created you to be within the boundaries he has set for you. you can find those boundaries in scripture. For example if part of you wants to have sex with a million different people don't do that. But if you want to be an artist, God gave you the talent of being an artist and you enjoy being an artist then be an artist! And use your talent to worship God. Make sense. But you gotta find out who you are first...

I understand what your trying to say Dustle. It is not uncommon for God to reveal himself to ppl on a deeper and more intimate way than others. You spoke of suffering as he suffered, I would like to help explain this to you if I may. Yes everyone is striving for God but many instead of relying completely on him and his strength and power rely on their own. Some are called to suffer greatly for his name sake and the sake of others. Me personally I chose this path from the beginning I knew that if I was obtain the level of love and faith and relationship with him it the cost could be great i very well may have to suffer greatly and intensely for his sake and for the sake of others but it wouldn't be simply to be strong or simply to obtain that level of love and faith but it would be out of love for him and all others that I would willingly suffer.


The suffering has certainly not been lacking ever since i chose this path I suffer in many ways physical emotional and spiritual and odds are the suffering will only get worse and more severe but I honestly don't care. I know the path I chose I know the cost and I know who and what I am doing this for but because I love and care for God and all others so deeply and because God has made me more than willing to suffer the worst kind of pain for the sake of just one person I will accept any cost I will go as far as needed i will sacrifice anything and everything and I will do it out love not for me but solely for the sake of God and all others.

Some have seen what I say as pride but it's simply the fire that burns within my heart, I could give a crap about me my concern my reason of existance the very reason motive for being strong in him at all is for him and for all others and out of love. I knew I couldn't trust myself to do all this for these reason because I know me I know how weak the flesh is I know how easy it is to desire such things for the wrong reasons so I handed all the power all authority to God I made him promises me that we would be strong like this but for the right reasons and out of love and he has yet to let me down since handing this to him

K to answer an earlier post real quick, God revealed Himself as a judge to me. Not only a judge but revealed to me that i am guilty and sentenced to eternity of seperation. But because He loves me so much He took my punishment and He took my sentenced and paid the price. Now He puts His own life as my own and i will be judged perfect and righteous because He is perfect and righteous. God said He meade man in His image which when you look at an image you see your reflection. Now how weird would it be if your reflection started moving on its own. So God revealed to me that He is in control and He moves man. He gives faith. He is the author and finisher of my salvation. If there is something i do not have it is cause God has not giving to me. Paul asked God to remove the thorn in his flesh and God just told him His grace is sufficient. God says a good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. So even at my worst God is made perfect. God has allowed all the wrong choices i have made cause those choices bore good fruits. He says beware that you do not judge your weeds cause you might pull fruit also. Freedom in God is not striving to be good and just cause you can make a good choice for God does not mean you are a good tree. When we look back or dwell in the good decision we make it turns us into a pillar of salt. Cause we were made to continually do good out of our nature of being alive. The fact that we see our good work means it wasnt natural and there is still a selfish motive to that good work

Cause not alot of people are talking about this God. It feels everyone is somehow striving to be a better person and God tells me i can never be a better person. So i was asking for a couple reasons. One, Gods word is a two edge sword so not only did i ask for myself but i asked for you as well. And number two, i asked because i wanted a conversation with some fellow brothers and sisters. And number three, i ask because i can always learn something new. I can not possibly know all of the true God cause He is so massive. He is infinite which means when i have learned something about Him i have not gotten any closer to knowing Him completely. So my question was aimed as a two edge sword as well as open to being taught!

Well, I don't think I can if that wasn't enough. There is no difference in God and Jesus except that one is called "Father", and the other is called, "Son."

Now, many of us BELIEVE they are two different people. But that is not what the Bible says.
