Hello. I am trying to charge my AAA battery using a charger that plugs into a USB outlet. I cannot read the print on the charger as to how long it should charge while plugged into my PC USB outlet. I am going for a minimum of four hours. If you know something about this that will help me, please, by all means fill me in..............thanks and God bless you for reading this.

A PC Usb only gives out 5.1 volts, so it will be slow to charge your batteries. So if you are charging from USB, I would give it about 6 to 8 hours. However if you have a lead that goes from charger to power outlet like a wall socket. then it will charge more, and less time to charge. then I would charge it around 4 to 6 hours. Most chargers these days has a cut out, so you dont over charge. it will charge your batteries to its requirements then cut out.

Thanks. For now I will go with six hours then. This is a first time charge for it. I have been using my PC halfway squinting thinking the dang thing might blow up......not funny, but go ahead and have a chuckle anyways... again, thanks a million.

USB 3.0 puts out a greater current and more power than USB 2.0, so if you have a 3.0 port, try using that. Either way, though, charging anything through USB is going to be like watching paint dry. :)

Some computers have a "super charging" feature on select USB ports. If your computer has that, definitely look into using it.

Good luck

Thank you for the inpurt. I have already tried it and a quick charge on some, but I think they are ooo. I have two USB AAA chargers, which are fairly old, and never used, so I ask, rather than chance batteries blowing up....It is always good to learn something new if it is practical. God bless you for your help.

Ok, I went with seven hours, and I like to think that was fine, again, thanks. Now if it is not fully charged do you think it will damage the calibration, if calibration applies to this type o battery...thanks again, and again...

Wow seven hours yeah that should be enough depends on their hold strength left. But they only last for how long? haha

In the not to distant future, mobile phones and stuff will charge instantly using graphene batteries and will last for months at a time instead of days. Airplanes will be much stronger and be able to fly for months without charging and when it does it will be instant.

You can find out about graphene and what it is online. Basically, graphene, is a nano thin layer of pure carbon atoms that are bonded together in a hexagonal honeycomb shape on a nano scale. It is about 100 times stronger than steel by weight, conducts heat and electricity with great efficiency and is nearly transparent.

It will pave the way for bendable screens and moving wallpaper.
It's going to totally change the way we use batteries and power.

Mind you I pray you will be alive to see it.

I bet some people will still have old school double AA's hanging around though! :p
