Problem with box fans is they don't oscillate and are tough adjusting up/down.

I have a window fan and a fan next to my bed that I keep on all night..it helps me breathe better and helps me fall asleep. :)

We use fans even in the winter for the noise. Living in an apartment complex it's nice to have the noise to drown out what's going on outside.

What I like about box fans is they are so much cheaper than all the others. I cannot believe a fan can cost over $50. I don't have money to spend on a fan like that.

The window fan I have cost less than $20, and the fan next to my bed only cost around $5.. :)

I like them as long as they're not too noisy, which is hard to find in a fan that buffets air well. I'm hoping Vornado releases a modestly priced window fan.

Had one years ago that, while somewhat loud, it worked EXTREMELY well even on low.
