This is for all you who've been putting televangelists down the last couple days. I'm gonna be done with them for good. I'm realizing that all of them are bad. I don't watch them religiously, but I'm done. It's too much for me to have to put up with more negativity than positivity when we talk about the three biggies: Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, AND Joel Osteen. So, as of now, I'm done and done forever with them. I'm not mad. I'm just realizing that they are not worth my time. I don't hardly watch The 700 Club anymore. I just watch the Bring It Online when people ask the host Pat Robertson questions from a Christian perspective. Anyway... I'm officially done.

I know all three have written numerous books, even best sellers. Are they not entitled to any of the income?

I think you will benefit from walking away from these teachers of heresy. It is not about the money (although the way these teachers fleece the flock is appalling!) but more about the fact that they are not teaching sound doctrine.

Spend more time in your Bible, and that will be a blessing, more than any amount of money. Getting closer to Christ, and serving him is the goal!

Bless you as you walk with the Lord!

In layman terms, what's hersay? Is that false teachings?

Angela53510: thanks. I appreciate your kind words. Income DOES matter, but not in the case of these three heretics. If they bought a $50,000 home, I'd be okay, cause that's not spending tons of money. Anyway... I feel better about this decision. I know I do. It'll be weird not listening to them, but it'll be better in the long run anyway...

I just want to update post #1:

I DID pray to God and He told me not to listen to these false no sinning people anymore. He said this for real. And I'm not going back on my word. I'm not getting branded a liar. Hope you understand.

And, I just want to say thanks to those of you in the Joyce Meyer thread for pointing out the little gods thing, and anything else I may have been blinded about when being a fan of hers. I'm done, and done talking about these heretics.

I'll comment your Forum
by saying that I really don't know what are you talking about...
Maybe there's nothing for me to comment to this,
but I just want to let you know that I'm confused about that,
Are you talking about TV ?

His teachings are hard to understand. I like something I can understand. But I'm not following anyone, anymore. I'm not backsliding.

OK, that's your choice buddy----
It just that I don't see what's wrong with them,
because TV evangelists are Christians and talking about Lord Jesus...
Am I right ?

I support your decision, but there's one thing to keep in mind. Media presence does not tell the whole story. My wife watches Joel and from that alone I came to believe he was false. But in the interest of fairness when he came around I took her to see him and to see for myself. While I'm still not a fan, I have to cut him some slack. What I saw and heard in the 90 minutes filled in and answered a lot of the gaps and questions that arose from the 30 minute version.

Now, his mom, she leaves no question as to where she stands. I'd gladly watch 30 minutes of her (and yes I'm aware that her human tongue has let out a few doozies over the years. Haven't we all? Again, are you looking at the snapchat or taking in the big picture?

you're right, but go read the Joyce Meyer thread in bible discussion. And don't read my comments about sticking up for her. My mind is made up. And read the Creflo Dollar jet one too. You'll learn lots that will make you change your tune.

Dana, check out Andrew Wommack. He is pretty low key and doesn't get all caught up in all the money stuff. I've listened to him since 1996 and have been to his conferences in Colorado. Great man of God and very humble.

Guys, please do not post any names of televangelists. I'm not going to listen to them. I'm done, and always will be done.

He isn't a Televangelist. He has a radio broadcast and basically teaches a bible study over television for 30 minutes every day. All of his teachings are free on his website as well.

Just to give you an idea about Andrew. There have been churches over seas who couldn't afford to bring him over there. He paid for it himself and didn't collect an offering while he was there.

OK, but I'm done too,
and I'm sorry for disturbing you,
I'm confused seriously...
In my head it's crazy,
what I would mean is I'll continue my Daily Routine,
I know that it doesn't make sense in English,
but it's just that usually I speak French,
so to translate what I would mean in English isn't too much simple...

It's not just them. It's God too. He told me to stop listening to them. Seriously He did.

And I'll check out Andrew since he's not a televangelist. That's cool he paid his own way and didn't take an offering.

i don't want you to stop bothering me, mes ami. You basically are going to not like the main three, Joyce, Joel, and Creflo? Good for you. If you've not heard them, listen before you make your mind up. YOU AND YOU alone need to decide what's right. Not what people like myself are trying to say to you.

I doubt that God told you to stop listening to them, except for the possibility that you are giving too much time to them over your own personal God time or your own teachers God has given you. Teachers that have television ministries are not to be our sole source of teaching. To me, if I watch any of them, they are the after-dinner mint...after dessert!

Are you talking about Andrew Wommack? He is a true man of God and an excellent teacher of the word as well. So is Robert Morris, and Jentezen Franklin.
