I have a cat named sandy she is my baby girl and is kind of a psycho kitty, she is perfectly sweet until a cat comes to mess with her and then she shrieks and poops and pees herself and there is pee all over the carpet there is poop everywhere and it smells but I have tried everything and she still freaks out when the cats mess with her and they do it all the time because they know it scares her. The family I live with has put up with her for a long time but finally I was told if she doesn't stop I will have to give her away and she is my child basically and it will break my heart but I honestly do not know what to do and I don't want to lose her.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to do?

Is she an indoor or outdoor cat?

I'm sorry! Maybe try hugging her or making her feel comfortable when another cat messes with her?

Also if you live with someone else, maybe you can crate her or keep her in your room so that she can be isolated.
I'm sorry this is happening! I have a dog that's similar. She doesn't dirty herself but she does get afraid and grouchy around other doggies. hehe

I hope it turns out alright, Blain! Blessings to you and your cat!

Blain, you can try a pheromone collar but they do not work for all cats. Sometimes they work great, and sometimes they don't. I hope it's a good solution for you. :(

Can you keep her in an interior room, where she can't see other cats? How are the other cats able to mess with her?

Dear Blain, your kitty Sandy is suffering from intense fear. The only way for her to overcome her fear is to be separated from those cats who are scaring her. Is there any way she can have her own room, away from the other kitties?

What if you take her in the garage......or a enclose non rug area......bring in each cat one at a time.....
and see what happens after the trama....if she messes ....ok ...but do you know what she will do after that....
I mean..... im sure when she messes ....you run around separating the two...maybe in a safe place (tile floor easy to wipe up)
and see if she gets use to the other cats....one by one.....so they cant gang up on her.....I dont even know if that
will help......this is a first for me.....poor little sandy....my cat and dog.....use to freak out when they saw each other....but after
small doses of each other....they got use to each other.....even if you take her out side on a leash...and let them meet...one at a time..
she might realize there is nothing for her to fear.....pray first of course....cause im praying for Sandy......peace...jo

Sadly no the kids broke down the bedroom door so any cat can get in

She refuses to leave my room for fear of the other cats but sadly since the door is broken the cats come in whenever they please and the like to mess with her

I understand you love her, but if she lives in fear she is better off elsewhere (imagine if bullies came into your house every day to beat you up).

Maybe use water to scare off the other cats every single time they approach? They should learn eventually

Have you tried getting her fixed? It may fix the problem

Is there any way you can make some kind of barrier. The cat is feeling like her territory is being threatened, that is why she is so upset. She needs to feel safe there. Somehow you need to find a way to set up a barrier and make her feel safe again.

Replace it. Its a cat !

how would you like it if someone told YOU to replace one of your children because it's "just a child"?? To Blain, his cat is his child.. shame on you to say that to him.. I think you'd be quite offended if you couldnt keep someone you loved, such as your child, and someone said to you, "who cares? replace it, it's just a kid."

I also have thought the same thing, I truly love her and I will be broken hearted to lose her I mean I will be in shattered pieces but If you love someone let them go....

I wish we could fix the door but I don't know how and no one else will do it plus I can't have a litter box in my room I have asked for permission for that and was denied

She is fixed and has been declawed however the other cats while I don't know if they are fixed they are certainly not de clawed and sandy already had been injured from them but no one listens to me and they act as if it's all sandies fault but I have seen these others cats chase her attack her and purposely annoy her but no sandy is ther problem the other cats are innocent they wouldn't hurt a fly, tell that to sandies wound above her eye
