There's been a heavyness on my heart, since Bobbie Houston has gone.
It''s been lingering, and I've even cried, and want to share this with ya'll.
Whitney started out singing in her Church Choir. Songs to Jesus, the sweet angelic notes, from the spirit, standing before a congregation, and before the Lord. She came from a Baptist Church. Which declare Jesus as savior.
The song that she so beautifully sang, there were many, but this one, "I will always love you," was so purely sung.
Though it was written by Dolly Parton, many might not have know that, but she wrote the song, and Dolly Parton, is a Pentecostal believer.
The loss of her daughter shouldn't of been. Money wasn't an issue, not to have a home, and protection from this world.
She had not lived her life, she was a beautiful flower, that was just opening.
She shouldn't of been taken, so soon, it was not God's plan.
He said he has good plans for us, to give us hope, and a future.
It is not enough to say you know Jesus, when evil temptations come around, being in the word, rooted and grounded, to resist it, being strong, to walk away, and stand in Truth, even if it means you stand alone, but in the spirit, were never alone.
We have loved you both, and the short time God had used the talent, to sing, I pray one day, it will be again at the Throne of God.
REst in Peace.
Beautiful Souls.

It was a very sad situation. Her talent was amazing but she became embroiled in the fast lane and acquired serious addiction problems including one to cocaine. In the end, her drug using choices materially reduced her financial net worth and ultimately killed her. Then, it killed her daughter too. Addiction robs and kills.

I know this is why I'm crying. God has embroidered us, made us for him, sometimes we don't even look like our parents, but God has chosen each person to be unique, and shine, through. HOw many parents today, are losing their family to the same thing. The devil comes to Rob, steal, and Destroy.

It's a very sad situation indeed. I knew that they were going to put her off support, but the minute I read the article that Bobbi officially passed still laid a heaviness deep down. Something more could've been done. Bobbi lived a life that was toxic with drug use and a toxic relationship with Nick. She didn't even have a chance. Bobbi and Whitney were very close, it seemed, so I'm hoping that they're spending the afterlife together at peace.

The song that came in my mind for when it comes to grief was "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?" It may be based off of a love song, but I think it can be a universal message to wonder where DO broken hearts go? Where's the refuge for them in this world? We may not understand why some people do the things they do, but sometimes we have to get off of that judgmental mentality and just look for a second to see that many addicts are covering up some sort of pain. Anyone who grows up with an adult that has some sort of addiction, no matter how minor or severe it is, knows how it affects them in some personal way. Imagine how it is like when it becomes a physical and abusive manner and nobody is there to help them. Put the grief of the passing of Whitney on top of that for Bobbi. Like I said, she didn't have a chance.

Isn't there a difference between losing your child to something, and leading them into, and encouraging, a lifestyle that will kill them?

I don't want to make this a discussion blog, RESPECTFULLY. I know how it is to give of yourself, I myself used to sing in the church. You give, and give, and sometimes your on empty, then what, you need to be refueled, restored, and renewed, refreshed, to go on. This is hard, as other things of life take priority, as the word says, the cares of this life, and then we become broken down, and weak, to resist. So Blessing to the Rest of the FAmily. God has been glorified to many through her, in the churches, as a Mother, and as a Wife. NOne of this is a blame on them, "surely the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, it goes for every single one.

Hmmm!

Well, I´m not given to anything postmortem... I like her voice and that´s what counts.
