Haha that was great, Mo.

It seems like every season the experts think Miami will finally take that next step toward the playoffs lol. I think the talent is there to make a Wild Card run, they just get in their own way sometimes.
They won 8 games last year. Had the Lions beatb(lost). Had the Packers beat (lost). Had the Broncos beat (lost). Could have very easily won 11 games. I completely agree with you the talent is there... Just 300 million for one position player, when your weakest position is still your weakest position... Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me, especially when said player has a history of being suspended.

Yeah, I think it's crazy to pay that much for anyone other than a QB. Too many teams buy the big name rather than fill the need. You guys might catch a break this season though, the first 6 games are all super winnable.

That's where as much as I think Bill Belichick is the biggest jerk (putting it nicely) and such a sore loser and such...he is still a great coach because he doesn't re-invent the wheel each season, he is precise with what he needs for the team and goes with it...

Exactly, not a Pats fan by any means, but have to give them credit. Belichick is more times than not going to make the right decisions. He doesn't care who you are(other than Brady) lol, if you're not a fit, you're gone.

Jonas Gray had that historic game.. Even became SI cover boy because of it.. Was then late to one practice... Fell off the face of the Earth. Bill doesn't play around.

Case in point...didn't stick with Welker or Moss when they literally and figuratively dropped the ball in the games that counted...speaking of Pats Bruce...or anyone really...who can explain that year in 08 when the pats when 17-0-1?! That 1 loss in the superbowl...I'll never be able to explain it hahaha and I don't wath football nearly as much as futbol...but I know that the pats should have had a perfect season lol

I know! I remember the last game of the season that year, the Giants gave them all they could handle, so I had a feeling it was going to be tough in the Super Bowl. That miracle David Tyree catch for NY probably still hurts haha.

The football season is about to start. I have no doubt the Arizona Cardinals will go all the way this year.
You do know your cardinal holding on to a baseball bat makes you're prediction a little suspect, right? lol

Do you want my heart or head prediction?

Heart says these preseason games make the Eagles look like contenders.

Head, and history say, Not even.

We have four professional sports team in this town, (I'm sorry soccer and indoor football aren't really sports. How many people are going to be shocked I said soccer isn't a sport? lol) Every single one of them are "rebuilding." The Bball team has been rebuilding for enough years I can't even name one player. Ice Hockey hasn't mattered since the 70's. Only two members of our baseball team were in the 2008 Word Series. We've been trading all those guys for no-names. Our only hope for a real team is the Eagles, and I can't even call them "our" Eagles. I know one name, and only because he was famous for his end zone kneel-and-prays a few years ago. Tebow is our third string -- or the one to let go at the end of pre-season. If last night is any indication, I think he'll have to look for a new job. Worse yet. Sanchaz we kept!

I usually can name 10 players on our football team. They might be something this year, but they really don't feel like our football team. It'a A football team.

And football was my only consolation when gardening season is over.

I hope Pittsburg Steelers do well this year. My kids and grandkids are for the Philadelphia Eagles so if they lead, that's ok, too. Just not the Cowboys (even tho I live in TX).
This might be a good year to talk the kids and grandkids into changing their minds. They aren't "our" Eagles anymore. Only person left is Sanchez. Kind of like Vick-- why keep someone who was never that good?

If they weren't doing well in preseason, I was considering being a Green Bay fan. That's something. I've been an Eagles fan since they beat the Skins on our way to our honeymoon and we stopped off in Manassas, found a place t eat, and it was a sports bar looking at us funny when their Skins watched our team score. lol (!980. They took it to the Super Bowl on hubby's birthday that year. And they did what we always do when we go to the Super Bowl -- lose. All two times. lol)

We can fix that. Start out by watching sports for an hour a week. After a while, increase that to two hours a week. Keep increasing it in increments till you reach sixteen hours a day. :D
