Exodus 1:9-10
9 He said to his people, "Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are more and mightier than we. 10"Come, let us deal shrewdly with them (HIM), or else they will multiply.

A Rabbi told me the “them” in Exodus 1:10 was translated wrong. The word them in this verse is HIM in the Hebrew.

... Romans 1:19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.

Romans 1:21For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

How does a person who hates G-d hurt G-d. G-d is not seen and cannot be physically touched. Just as the Egyptians did you harm the things that G-d loves, HIS children.

In the United States, there has been a rise in attacks against Christians.

Oregon gunman singled out Christians during rampage | New York Post

moved here from news forum because about rise in violence against Christians not one event.

I think we will see more and more of this type attack on believers? Im glad that we hear that some stood and declared Christ, even as they faced death.

Well the hurting of God does not come in just the form of Christians being attacked by evil individuals, it also comes in the form of those who profess to know God but in there works/deeds they deny Him.

In other words they may claim Jesus as Lord but continue to walk around in disobedient ways to what He taught and commanded. Matthew 25:14-30 and Luke 12 gives examples of being a disobedient servant !!!
