I've noticed that most people when writting the word God or referring to Him uses small letters. In the bible when talking about other gods the small letters are used. Isn't also also important for us as Christians to write His Name correctly? Just an observation;

Really? I'd say most people here write 'God' with a capital letter. Not Him, His etc. though. Many Bibles don't even include Him, His etc. but I've done it for years. I feel the former is necessary though, to show respect to Him and to help differentiate God from a god.

I have noticed this happening more and more over the years.
But God isn't His name, it's His title. Like saying mister.

Yes, ESPECIALLY on this forum where, by the time you notice that you posted a "typo" (despite proofreading your message), it is almost too late to beat the short 5-minute cutoff allotted for any corrections.

I'm normally a birddog on spelling and grammar, but this one forum has taught me to just ignore most of it because I know the posters don't have much of a chance to rectify anything. I have permanent mistakes standing forever, here, that I would never leave on a forum with a reasonable correction time given.

I try to use caps when referring to GOD but I try not to judge others by my standards lest I become legalistic because GOD looks at the heart and man looks at the outward appearances.

Isn't the context what matters? Give people some grace.

Of all the pretentious nonsense I see on Christian chats/forums, the random capitalisation of pronouns (and the frowning on those who don't do it) is the worst.

I see where you are getting at on here but we should not get offended if they don't use capital letters, but it does help when using them to know what the person is speaking on.

I for one like using the capital C when referring to the Church (body of believers in Christ), and the lower case c when speaking on the churches (buildings/houses).

This helps to let others know what one is actually talking about and shows the clear difference between the two !!!

My spellchecker picks up typos on what I quote from others. Knowing how often I typo, unless the person is a Brit (who spells many words differently than Americans), I'll even correct their typos.

According to my spell checker, that word is supposed to be bird dog, but I disagree. I've been raised with birddog, so I'm not going to correct something that's right. lol

Yes, we observe it everwhere. Like others say it must be the rush, the eye problems, etc; Sometimes w/o meaning to i guess, but even in the rush, we see other words that dont seem to need caps but are capitalized like grace, many others. I see it in prayer request sites too, like ' i need u' or 'help me god.' Typos and wrong grammars can be annoying, no? but as Lihle said, we capitalize most ppl's names when typing, we can extend a few seconds specifically for the capital G or the He/His as tintin and others do? This is not judging.
ps. Btw as i was telling some ladies, tho growing up bilingual, i really struggle writing now searching for words... and havent much to revise sentences.

You don't mention that you're a Christian. Why do you even give a rip about anything?

I don't mention I'm an astronaut or Michael Jackson either, what does that have to do with the price of spuds?

I "give a rip", as you put it, for the same reason everybody else does; because an opinion has been posted on an open discussion forum, thus it is open to free public scrutiny. If you do not like reading about my particular opinion for your own insecure reasons, feel free to place me on your block list. I promise, I would not "give a rip".

I've seen it "bird dog", "bird-dog", and birddog. But, as you can see, it is clearly one single animal, not two, and not hyphenated.
