A friend of mine is selling his Macbook Pro to me for $450. It's a 2013.

All you tech-savvy people out there, is this a good deal? There seems to be no problems with it. He's just needing money.

It would help to know the specs of course - processor type and speed, RAM, motherboard cache size - but for a 2013 that is still working fine that sounds like a reasonable price. Not a "WOW what a deal!" price, but a bit lower than average for a mac from 2013. If you need one, get it.

Of course if you don't need it... nothing is a value, even if you only paid a penny for it, unless you need or can resell it.

Also may help to, in the future, post computer questions in the User2User Tech section, which is intended for such questions. And where all the 'tech savvy' tend to visit.

I'd check into used computer stores. I suspect that's a bit too expensive for a two year old laptop, but I never had an Apple.

Shiney: Yes, it's almost certainly a pretty good deal - as long as it's in good condition. How good a buy it is depends on the configuration; screen size, retina or not, processor, RAM, etc. A lot of other 2013 Pro models go for around $600 and up, easy.

I got mind for $900 new and that was with a discount. If it's in good condition, that sounds like a good deal!
But it also depends on what it has like Siberian said. Siberian, can we just called you Spiderman? Because that's what I was about to call you lol. :p
