The BBC/PBS Masterpiece cult favorite is going to get a theatrical release for the first time.

'Sherlock' coming to theaters for first time | EW.com

Bonus: The theatrical version of the episode will include 20 minutes of additional footage, including a guided set tour of 221B Baker Street with executive producer Steven Moffat, plus a short “making-of” with stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

(*Awkward cough* I used to watch Castle, too.)

Bummer! We fell in love with that version of Sherlock over the summer when we watched it on streaming. We can't go to theaters, so all this tells me is it's going to take a much longer time to see the next one.

Actually, it's British, not Hollywood. I don't like detective stories, yet Watson and Homes are hilarious, touching, a good sense of guys being guys, and intriguing. (Well, okay, the intriguing is just thrown in for those who like detective stories. I can't catch a single clue unless there are neon lights pointing to it, which there aren't.)

*Sigh* That's okay. I'm not betting that any theaters around here will have it anyway.

So I showed back up here because this thread was under "most recent replies" and read "Sherlock coming to theaters atwhatcost." I admit, I giggled.

I wonder if The Woman will make an appearance in this season. A Scandal in Belgravia was one of my favorite episodes.

I really do hope so, but the ep was so good I hope they don't ruin it by casting Irene for the sake of... casting Irene. My favourite episode would be.... hard to choose, it has to be one of these four: The Final Problem, A Study in Pink, The Great Game and of course His Last Vow :)

I'm so glad this isn't just another Robert Downey Junior movie. I really didn't like the American spin on Sherlock. Other than the visuals, they were bad. Moffat's Sherlock is where it's at. :)

For real. I don't think I even finished watching RDJ's Sherlock movies. Yet I watched this series 3 times lol.
