Windows 10 _ Cortana

Well, after receiving the free upgrade to Windows 10 back somewhere near July, I have been upgraded to having the Cortana option. She is most handy with weather and math. She does square toots and lots of other stuff. Also, being in Spain when I asked for my weather report she gave it in full, however in Fahrenheit, so I repeated the request adding in celsius, and she changed the report.

I am certain she has a lot of other features that will come in useful, but for now these are my fav's.

I've refrained from using Cortana (further privacy issues), but that's very cool to hear that it's proving handy.

Cortana... sounds like an AI you can have embedded in your brain.

Oh wait, that's something else. Never mind.

Is Cortana related to HAL?

Given the recent publicity about Windows' user intel gathering, and given the Halo AI's name, it would be appropriate to say "Cortana is watching you."

I hope the real Cortana doesn't go through rampancy...

I have not searched for any of this being loyal to MS and reading their info on Windows 10. Yes, it is suspicious that it came free; that alone should be food for thought, but it is really a nice platform. There should not be any spying on anyone according to the Constitution with which I was brought up, but things have changed so much since George Bush declared, "Either you are with me or you are against me." He, not being my Lord, Jesus Christ, did offend me with that purloining of my constitutional rights.....not to mention what I almost consider his blasphemy.

If you want, post something on that, please do. I refer to the spy aspect not to Bush.

anyone know of a good alternative to google translate and google maps?
I've stopped using google for basic uh googling but can't find good alternatives for those two
