I am a bit disheartened by how friends come and go... People that I thought I had the seeds of friendship sown with, have so willingly forgotten me. I know it shouldn't matter, but this place is my fellowship- I don't have a home church where I am living currently, and not any sort of christian influence away from here. I'm in a desert, spiritually, and was excited at the few quick friends I made here... And now, I stand discouraged at the quick waning of the relationships. I haven't changed, that I know of... and I wish that they would let me know if I had done something to offend...

And not to take from the few true friends I've connected with here, cause they know who they are and they are a blessing... its the ones that seem to have become content with forgetting me that hurt.

Yea, you just gotta hang in there. And look into your local churches. If you can't find one, pick one off of a list in your town that you live in and go. If you like it then there ya go, if otherwise, keep looking. I feel your pain, truthfully I really do not have so much friends in real life. But I never gave up, get a few and lose a few, I mean what can you do if they feel like not being friends any more but let em go? I would look forward, and let God lead your life. Try to worry what you can do for God, let him soak into you. If you do I am sure that sooner or later (hopefully sooner for your sake of course) that it will work out. Glad you posted on here, its always good to talk about something rather than bottling it up. And good luck, and I will pray for you. :)

Appreciate the prayer... I've given up most of my friends, because they won't walk this walk with me... All I can do is pray for them, and hope that they come this way one day... but I cannot be a part of their lifestyle anymore...
In 31 years *almost* I have seen friends and most of my family go away... It gets a bit tiring after so long.

I find having a church is tremendously helpful. There are no perfect churches, I don’t think.

I've been on this site for years and haven't made any friends from it. So count yourself lucky that you've made some.

One or two, but they never seem to come back on.

or I'm never on when they are perhaps.

I am sort of a solitary person, though I am active in my church. My original inspiration for joining this website was to discuss theology in the Bible Discussion forum. Over a period of time I think one develops an affection for like-minded, supportive people.
