I thought Id start a post where those of us that are fast aproaching that hill, or have reciently just gotten over, those that are fast coasting down the hill, or simply feeling the age.
You can share the good and the bad, the funny or down right embarressing to what the heck happened?
Today has been one of those days that truelly reminds me that I am fast approching the age, having to now use 250 reading glasses, meeting a new friend of one of my children, thinking she must be about 22, and finding out she is 31. No it is not that she is young looking, its just that 30 now looks like a kid to me.
Buyiing the dress and shoes for my daughters wedding, and having to make sure the dress hides those things that have started to move down hill before I am ready.
Then looking at all the lovely shoes and being restricted to the pair that can support my feet, back and low heals so that I do not fall off them.
Making sloppy joes for dinner and realizing that tomorrow Ill pay the price for something so spicy.
Yes sloppy joes are now too spicy.
The good is that I have lived long enough now to take it all in humor, knowing Im a little wiser, and that even if Im not, well Im older so deal with it.
And being able to afford a really good recliner to relax in.
Im sure by tomorrow Ill feel better about it, Ive lived long enough to realize this, but as I looked longingly at the stilletto shoes wishing I could still wear them, I realized that no one looks at me any more. They look to me, not to bad a trade off.
