I'm curious as to how many here visit the chatrooms as opposed to the forums.

I mostly use the forums. In the time I've been here, I've probably been on chat less than 10 times.

I've never had any luck on the chat. It seems to be a bunch of mindless chatter if anything. But, like Mitspa said, I'm an old fart trying a new trick.

I used to chat non-stop when I was younger. Now, with many things to do irl, it's not easy to chat anymore. Chatting while multitasking is defeating the purpose of it. I mean, you can't really empathize with people in chat while talking to someone else on the phone. Divided attention is no attention. So, since I got back here like, hmmm a few years ago, I started being more active in the forums. Forum replies can wait. Online chatters can't.

I would go there if I need instant prayer request lol. The prayer room is most of the time quiet but you can drag people from other rooms to pray for you which I think is the main thing I use chat now for. Or when I see old friends get on. But meeting new friends, I find forums more convenient.

Also, I doubt any full time chatters would read this, cause they're in the chatroom lol. So all your votes will come from forum peeps.

I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that! I was tempted to make the first choice "I do mostly chat... (so why am I here now?)" ;)

Lol I like the forums a lot more, pretty much like lady Abing says, can take your time a lil more with the forum and also I'd add I like that the replies are in one place so we can sorta tease out a topic more. That and frankly I'm a lil camera shy .

I do like to go into the chatrooms once in a blue moon or so and usually just listen and read.

No it doesn't but from what I seen most of it is done on camera, that is if you can get to the microphone first lol.

So it's basically a video conference amongst people with nothing better to do..?

That too! Topics are organised in the forums. Nothing better than witnessing 5 conversations going on in main chat. AND the voice chat conversations too. I never used camera. Lol camera shy here too.

Haha, it'd be cool if it was a video conference. Long time ago, I met a friend online and we'd just Skype each other while doing chores at home lol. We'd leave Skype on forever. I guess some people really just need company.

BS chat is mostly what the bsf is: grace vs law with a little extra mixed in:) Only, you get to get on mic and have your say. You dont have to initiate your camera. The lounge is just what it infers. Its a place for all kinds of topics. There is a prayer room, youtube, sermontube, womens ministry, mens ministry and a few others. Chat rooms and forums both consist of people with nothing better to do. The only difference is the chats allow you to hear what people are saying and see them if they choose.

Its actually the opposite. Most is just done on mic. Only a small % of the chatters like to be on camera

I read a lot too. Tired of making the same old arguments on the same old subject. But I'm compelled to post on tangential issues.
