How do you end a conversation? Male to male...male to female...female to female...female to male...and what do you usually mean?

I'll usually say "Bye", "Goodnight", "Sorry, busy now.", etc. and I mean every single word I say. How about you?

When a male text saying, "Talk soon" or "Speak soon", what do they normally mean?

it's over???

just kidding, we don't have a cell-phone and we don't want one.....

from our observations, we have witnessed that this form of communication
usually seems to 'lessen' other normal' communicative skills, especially with the young!!??!!

I got caught up with all the fun things you can do with a smart phone. Then..... I finally got smart, myself. I got rid of it. I now carry a flip phone that I probably turn on two or three times a month. But, only when I happen to want to make a call. I'm saving about $100 a month.

TY, OTN, but, mainly I'm just cheap.... and I don't like phones, anyway. I hardly ever even answer my land line unless I see Caller ID shows it's someone I want to talk to.

I have a TracFone but I never use it except for emergencies, like if the power goes off for a few hours or days, or the river behind my building floods, and we get evacuated..

It boggles my mind that these kids seem to be addicted to staying in constant communication with others... saying next to nothing in their texts. Yet hardly even know how to sit down with someone, and carry on a normal conversation.

They honestly seem to "panic" if they can't locate their phone for a few minutes.

I know, it's pathetic..

We have a corner of our "café" where the kids all like to sit on three sofas and a couple of easy chairs. They all simply sit there, texting to the kids right next to them, or 6 feet across the room. Yet, they hardly ever exchange actual words. (And they are not anywhere that any adults could be eavesdropping.)

we hear you Willie - we don't even have cable - an old friend of ours once told us many years ago
that as she got older, she learned to separate the 'I-needas from the I-wantas'...

we are very grieved as we witness today's 'technological-take-over'... we are not against technology
per-say, but against the wanton miss-use, = the DISTRACTION from GOD, family, country and community.....

I usually tell people to stop talking and leave me alone, I have more important people to talk to.....................Kidding, I would never do that

In truth I talk too much and am a complete chatterbox, but I also don't like to say goodbye. The weird thing is if I am texting someone I can talk their ear off, but get me on the phone something about getting the words from my brain to my mouth I forget what I was going to say. Usually, to end a conversation my friends and I just stop talking. We have a general understanding with each other.

I just always answer until I fall asleep at 4 o'clock so I just removed that stuff from my phone and only use it to post here since my computer doesn't function. Can't throw the smartphone away. It's from the office.

I don't really say anything...I just sorta let it fade out into non-existence.

That's what I have too. I use it to talk to my wife for a few minutes each day during my lunch break at work. Sometimes I will have her take it with her if she is going to be driving around town just in case something happens or to let me know how things are going.
