What was your favorite 'church' song when you were a kid?

One of my favorites was Jesus to the Resuce. All the kids at my church loved making the siren noise at the end
My all-time favorite is Jesus Loves Me. I still know the hand motions even though I havn't done them in years...

Hmm...I have never heard Jesus to the Rescue. Must be fun if their is a siren in it!

I loved the hand motions

I always loved singing coritos (choruses)as a kid. sometimes, the family gets together and one of the uncles will bust out with hs giutar. We all sit around and sing.

Ummm i dont really remember my favorite song as a lil lil kid. but after I turned 6 or so i went into "Big person church" with my grandma....so I loved "Days of Elijah" and there is another...but i cant remembe it's title...or the lyrics right now for that matter...bahh.

When I was a kid I really loved Christmas hymns, and I think "O Come All Ye Faithful/Adeste Fideles" was the one for me!

My favorite song was This train is bound for glory this train .. We use to sing this and walk the around the church with our hand in the air and yell WOOWOO like we was pulling the train whistle.. Us kids love it .. Ever Sunday morning one of us would ask to sing it.

Here in the philippines the song that was taught to us when i was a kid was read your bible pray every. pray everyday... read your bible pray every and you grow, grow... i really like the change of keys in the lyrics of -- and you grow-- grow-- until now i still laugh when singing in that line... (change key) hahhaa...

I remember singing that song too! Alot of the songs I sang as a child were in spanish and don't translate very well into english. One of them starts out Jerusalen, que bonita eres. Calles de oro, mar de cristal. Basically, it's describing the streets of gold and the crystal sea and goes on about walking in heaven with Jesus
