I wonder what ever happened to those shoes with the silver stars? Believe it or not Joe was straight when he performed at Woodstock. He got really made becuase his band members had taken acid and didn't tell him!

I'm glad I wasn't there, they ran out of food and people were getting really sick from all the dope they were taking.

I liked Jimi Hendrix version of the national anthem on his electric guitar.

I wasn't born yet when woodstock happened.

That's the song they used for Wonder Years.

I loved that show when I was a kid...

What makes you say that?
Well, aside from associations I have had since coming to Christ, only during a couple of times in the Military and those years, have I ever felt such a realization of closeness to other people in all the rest of my years on this planet.

The UK equivalent of Woodstock was Isle of Wight (1970), August 26th to 30th/31st, Jimi Hendrix died some days later on 18th September 1970, such a great talent taken so young!

Yeah, it's probably the only time in history you could hitch a ride with a van full of people you'd never met and go from one coast to the other without being harmed.

Him, Morrison and Joplin, the 24 club, but the body can only stand so much alcohol and drugs.

They all died at the age of twenty seven... as did Brian Jones, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, and a whole slew of others :(

Drugs can harm... be careful what you glorify.
I honestly don't think anyone was trying to glorify drugs. There were other aspects of the 60's beside drugs, I think a lot of good music came out of that era. I really like this song by Delaney and Bonnie called Only You Know And I Know:
