Because a cat simply claws and hisses. While the Dog can be vicious and bite. On that note my dog dislikes cats and all who enter my yard become a play thing until he eats the cat! I consider him considerate to my allergy. Cats are pretty...so no haters on my thoughts. Its just I can't breathe around them.

Dogs are much closer to their wolf heritage than a domestic cat is to their wild relatives.

Cats neatly dig a hole. Some dogs can walk free outside. Cats don't bark at people and they only bite if you bother them.

In actuality, this is true. Cats have been domesticated for thousands of years longer than dogs have. In fact, dogs, to this very day, are still being bred and used, by the thousands, to hunt. Hardly any cats are.

My dogs have never been on a chain. The behave better and have more emotional depth than some humans I've met.

To avoid ground-meat hands! (Try to tie a cat up and he'll scratch your hands until they look like ground meat. lol)

I disagree. More like very old squirrel -- a bit too tough to eat. (Frog legs don't taste like chicken either. lol)

Long ago, I was letting my cat outside, when a guy walked by with his hound dog on a leash. (The dogs that look like long-legged beagles.) My cat was already preparing to pounce the dog, so I grabbed him.

The man laughed and told me his dog would never hurt a cat.

I laughed and told him I wasn't worried about what the dog would do to the cat. I knew what the cat would do to the dog. lol

You would have hated my cat. The two kinds of people he loved the most were those who hate cats and those allergic to cats. (My dad hated my cat.)

Both of my dogs are better people than most people I have ever met.

Well of course frog legs don't taste like chicken - they taste like frog. I don't know what kind of old mangy cat you ate, but all the ones I've ate, once browned off then braised in a pan with gravy taste a lot like dark meat chicken.

Were there cats like the domesticated cat during the dinosaur era?
I could google it but instead I would like your opinion first

Beef gravy or chicken gravy? Because I think it was the beef that did me in for cat stew. lol

People are more afraid of dogs than cats. Which is strange, as I totally would prefer to meet a well-trained dog on the street instead of a non-trainable cat. However, dogs, some of which are significantly heavier than cats, can do more damaged if not well trained. Now, if people kept mountain lions, I'll bet you'd see them chained too. :D

Yeah, but if you see a cat on the street, he ignores you. Cats are always the most important ones walking... at least in their minds. What others do only occupy their minds if feeding them is part of the action. lol
