Do you have a type of people that moves your heart more than the rest? Like, say, you have a heart for teens, whenever you see a teenager going through hard times, you just feel burdened to reach out. Something like that. What type of people do you find yourself getting drawn to?

I've always loved older people. I always get along with them fine and I genuinely enjoy their company. I'm the youngest in my support group, they're all in their 50s to 70s and I honestly feel like I belong lol.

How about you?
Hmm I am drawn to people in pain and that need to know they are forgiven and loved for who they are.

People who don't pile on a load of hooey. I don't like the political type who talks a lot but says nothing.

Tell me what you really think, and I'm there -- bad or good. Tell me what you think will please me or what sounds good, and I'm gone.

As a young person I was always drawn to older people but I think it was
due to me not really relating to me peers very well.

Now I tend to have a soft spot for the under dog.
(
I'm wondering if I should tell Miri she IS a younger person.)

Age -- always a relative thing. Ask my relatives!

That is cool! Aren't they just the most peaceful bunch?! True story, they had me prepare for games for our Christmas party last year, so I made them dance and they all complained lol.
Wait just a cotton-pickin' minute! I have to get peaceful in a mere two months? Doesn't seem fair!

It was funny. I was talking with my brother about it. He said: I really have a heart for good looking younger women. I said ain't that interesting, I feel much more empathy when it's a nice man hahahahahahaha.

I have a heart for antitheists, they remind me of how my granddad was and a bit how my dad was. People that are on drugs or addicted to other things, that have pain and are real. Bossy arrogant controlling people that want to make my life miserable, I love 'em. Potential rapists, once met one and so felt God's heart for him, but after that encounter I thought maybe I should just pray for those. I don't think I'm the person to lead them to the Lord.

I notice people who are on the fringes, by themselves. Not all of them are open to conversation, but most are. I think we all benefit by being noticed, welcomed, and included.

It is fascinating to me that we are drawn to different kinds of people. I clearly see the handiwork of a loving Creator in this.

Btw speaking of how I am drawn to the elderly I went up to Walmart yesterday it's only a short walk from my house I needed to buy sleeping meds even though I only had nineteen dollars to last me for the rest of the month. But I am so glad I did, at the check out there was this old man his skin all over was so worn and so scared like their wasn't a spot on him without damaged tissue you could tell he has been through a whole lot.

However there was such life in this old man as he talked to the cashier he was so upbeat so genuinely happy energetic I mean I have never seen anyone so full of life as I told him how amazing it was to see such a lively person he told me he was pushing 80 and of course I knew he was old but wow nearly 80 and yet he had more life in him than any person I ever met.

when the Love of our Saviour dwells inside of us, after conversion, well what we begin
to feel for others, at times is just over-whelming and is truly a wonder, and just think,
it's just one of the many beautiful mysteries that He will reveal to us as our journeys unfolds...

This is the (UK) under dog!
Types of people I'm drawn to...

Well, I have to start with the under dog...lol

But also anybody in difficulties, or ill, especially if its something that I've gone through previously, because then my compassion is greater being able to sympathize with them.

Persons who don't "conform", who are "rebels" (in a good sense) at heart...

Blind people tug at my heart. I once called the local Association for the Blind requesting to become a volunteer. They asked me about braille reading and such. I told them I'm not trained in that kind of stuff. I just wanted to do some light cleaning and grocery shopping for a blind person who could use the help. They told me to call the Puerto Rican Action Board if I wanted to volunteer like that. I asked why? Don't Puerto Rican's know how to shop? That was that.
That was the best, most random thing I've heard all day. Thanks for making me laugh!!!

So. This is off topic but not reallyyyy because they all have things in common.

I'm drawn to people who are rebellious in nature, and seem to have a troubled past.

Also, people who are dead.
Also, people who are fictional.
Also, people who are way too old for me.

People who are in the trenches--striving to achieve reasonably challenging goals. They draw me in like a magnet draws metal. There's something very energizing and inspirational about them. Whenever I have the capacity to help them, I do. I admire them for walking uphill. It isn't easy paddling upstream--they battle waves of criticisms, failures, mockery, discouragement (often times its the ones closest to them that discourage them)--but they still keep on going. They fall, they get up, and they keep going. Such people draw me. I help them with my skills (if I can), encourage them, and rejoice when they achieve their goals.

I like trying to figure out what young kids are talking about. I like how they have views and opinions so soon in life.

I like how they don't try to hide anything they are thinking.

"You're really old" "You're fat" "Something stinks in here" "I don't like this"

I like giving them back to their parents at the end of the day.
