Look at the picture below and tell us which way the girl is spinning.

If she's spinning counter-clockwise, means you're more left-brained:
uses logic, detail oriented, facts rule, words and language, present and past, math and science, can comprehend, knowing, acknowledges, order/pattern perception, knows object name, reality based, forms strategies, practical, safe

If it's clockwise, means you're more right-brained:
uses feeling, “big picture” oriented, imagination rules, symbols and images, present and future, philosophy & religion, can “get it” (i.e. meaning), believes, appreciates, spatial perception, knows object function, fantasy based, presents possibilities, impetuous, risk taking

Of course, there is no way for me to verify this so.. I'm not entirely sure if it's even true. After staring at this many many times before, I think I've learned to make her spin both clockwise and counter-clockwise. It doesn't work all the time though.

Observation: If I take the time to just appreciate the thing, she spins right! If I try and figure out how it works, she spins left!

Anyway, which way is the girl spinning?

First she goes counter clockwise all the time, but then all of a sudden the other way around, clockwise.

Clockwise, although I identify with traits from both. I guess that makes me a human being! :D

Haha that's interesting, my sister always sees her spinning clockwise, she's a graphic artist.

First she goes counter clockwise all the time, but then all of a sudden the other way around, clockwise.
Lol! Try reading fantasy and while your imagination is working, look at this girl again, she'd be turning clockwise, UNTIL you try and reason with yourself again why it's like that.

What if she does both?

When I first saw it, it was spinning clockwise.. then it just randomly went counter-clockwise.. so I think it changes on its own XD. But, I can tell you that based on the two descriptions, I'm much more left than right.

What's up with all you "both ways" weirdos?! Your brains are broken!

(I'm just sad 'cos I can't make it spin left... :( )

Here's another test to figure out which side of the brain is your dominate side.

Multiply this is your mind only:
256
X 213

Got it?

Good!

Now, remember what you looked at when you were figuring it out? You're eyes looked up. If they looked right, your dominant brain is your left side. If they looked left, it's your right side.

I'm a left-brained left-hander, so not all of us are in our right-mind.

The girl can spin both ways, but NOT at the same time (that's just not possible).

If she does switch every now and then, means both parts of the brain are really active xD

Every time she switches, though, means, there's a change in perception. Like what I mentioned in my OP as an observation.

If I take the time to just appreciate the thing, she spins right! If I try and figure out how it works, she spins left!

She does, just not at the same time. It's a test of which is more dominant.
Yeah but the poll questions are left or right. No matter if we see her spinning clockwise or counterclockwise, she's spinning both -- left and right.

Scary part? At first I saw her spinning clockwise, so I'm supposed to be more imagination oriented than logical. lol

Lol! I think it has something to do with what we're thinking before looking at it. But then again, that's theoretical, it may very well be just an optical illusion with no psychological evidence.

But it has a wikipedia page! So must be, close to truth lol!

tsk tsk, people aren't left/ right brained, we use different spots of our brains for different types of task, but it has nothing to do with right/ left.

This reminds me though: Some scientist found out that little or nothing happens in our brain when we get money, but the moment we loose money, Amygdala is activated (triggering feelings)... must be why we hate taxes :p

Creeeeeepy!! For the longest time, I couldn't see how she could possibly be spinning clock-wise. It was counter-clockwise. Then i stared at it intently and she changed directions.. Odd part, when she started spinning clock-wise, I started to get a headache...
