So I hear the word libtard thrown around a lot in this forum. But I would like to address the other side of the coin, the conservatard. Let's compare and contrast the two

The libtard.... is a libtard hates Christianity or anything that resembles Christianity. He views anyone who expresses Christian beliefs or and here's to a strict code of biblical principles as a bigot. Anyone who openly disagrees with his lifestyle is accused of hate speech. He believes he should have his rights to free speech and free expression but the Christians should not.

The conservatard....The conservatard believes that his way of life and his moral or even political views are the only ones that should ever be validated or even acknowledged. Anyone who disagrees with his belief system is a threat. Anyone who disagrees with him on anything biblical or even the interpretation of biblical principles and biblical Doctrine is a heretic and a blasphemer. He also believes that only Christians are supposed to have any rights in this country and due to his self-absorption cannot comprehend the fact that people have free will and not everyone is going to believe as he does.

This is why I identify myself as a Centrist. Sometimes both sides have valid points. Not everything is black and white and not everything is etched in stone

I refuse to accept the label conservatard though I do largely fit the description. Somebody has to serve as the nation's moral conscience in the midst as political and cultural decay. If that is me, so be it.

Bid them achieve me and sell my bones.

Hypothetical situation. Bob & Steve who live down the road are gay. The liberal would call me a bigot for trying to witness to them and telling them that God is not pleased with what they are doing. The conservative would call me a fake Christian for not constantly bombarding them and voicing my disapproval with every breath.

I think a lot of people are somewhere in between. Those are very broad generalizations, although true with some people. With somethings, especially from a Christian perspective, there is not central stance. There is only one way; The Way. Really the only guiding light here is to respect others whatever their views.

Maybe I am naive, but what Christians are going to criticize you because you witnessed to a gay person? Or bombarding them with love, rather then rebukes?

More than broad generalizations. They're caricatures.

The sort that hyperbolizes on the internet, but turns into a considerate softy when confronted with real-world events.

It's extremely rare to find Christians of that sort. In my experience they are not likely to be political either, but more often against involving themselves in politics.

I, too, find myself in the middle, not because I sit on the fence, but because I am conservative on some issues and liberal on others. This is a conservative site, it would seem to me, so I feel totally comfortable discussing those issues on which I take the conservative position.

I consider myself a conservative, but I don't think it means what you think it does.

No need to read any further than this. Nothing else matters regarding libtards or conservatives.

And for the record, I wear any mocking name regarding my conservative views as a badge of honor.

Not true. The conservative would simply disapprove of public restroom love affairs which are against the law and gay pride parades loaded with male appendage floats because they're pathetic.

When push comes to shove, labels can be pretty inaccurate since few people fit the stereotype completely down either side.

The conservatard....The conservatard believes that his way of life and his morals or even political views should be able to be freely expressed without being called a racist. That he can raise his children however he see's fit and with whatever moral compass he chooses to impart to his children. Anyone who disagrees with his belief is free to do so but must be kind in doing so. Anyone who disagrees with him on anything biblical or even the interpretation of biblical principles and biblical Doctrine is free to do so but must be kind when doing so or he reserves the right to exit the conversation. He also believes that Christians have the right to choose how they live and how they raise their children. He believes in a small central govt that is shackled to the constitution and the provisions set forth therein.

This is why I identify myself as a Centrist. Sometimes both sides have valid points. Not everything is black and white and not everything is etched in stone
I fixed the conservatard section to more accurately describe my consersavatardness.

So.... don't preach at them, just go visit them and all of you bake some cookies, and share with the whole neighborhood!

Win-win!

Judging by the tens of millions of viewers of Fox news, Rachel Madow, and all the other shows that take a firm stance for one view or the other, a lot of people care.

Ok lets get this straight, Rachel Maddow has never had millions of viewers. She has never broken a million. As for conservative and liberal, who cares. This nation will not make it out of the 21st century.

Ah, come on! She's had her show since 2008.

Surely, over the last 8 years, her total viewership, if we take a head count of the daily totals since day one, adds up to at least 1 million.

I figure it adds up to roughly 480 viewers a day if she's on every weekday of the year. :)
