God desires a partnership with you. The best way I can illustrate this is let’s say you were to sit in a closet and pray to God for a hot dog but you never left the closet. God needs us to at least get up and go to the kitchen; maybe even out to a fair where hot dogs are served? Do our part basically. God will move our mountain but he expects us to bring a shovel.

Kind of like when Peter got off the boat and walked on water. When I think of stepping out in faith or obedience I think of Jn 15:5.
