What was the last non fiction book you read that wasn't related to self-help or God? And, if you don't remember the name, what it was about is fine.

Just curious what people are passionate about. (It's a passion if you're willing to read a whole book about it. lol)

I don't read books, but if I did, I would like to read a book about photography. :) In fact, one of my dreams is to make a book of my photography, but I haven't taken any pictures in years.. :(

Uh. Most of the books I read these days seem to be related to God or the Bible in some way. I need to read more fiction. As for the most recent non-self-help, non-Christian, non-fiction book I've read that would have to be Lindsey Stirling's autobiography "The Only Pirate at the Party".

I don't like fiction much anymore. I used to years ago. Especially sci-fi. In the last 6 months, among other books I have read, are bios of Marlon Brando. Looks, talent, money, respect, fame, and he was miserable. And was also a mean spirited manipulative person in his later years. It just drove home what we Christians all know; without God, it is meaningless and doom.

I read the biography of Man Of War - the horse. I especially love to read about triple crown winners, etc. No, I don't gamble, but I really love to watch horse racing and read how various horses are trained.

A kid's book about kids in a bus because my son had to read it in school.
I don't even read christian books. Only ones I liked were from Corrie ten Boom. Read those a lot of times.

Hnmm, the last non- fictional non- Christian book was one on how to develop a website. I only read bits and parts of it though.

Most of the books I read are fiction (or at best fictional characters placed in historical events).
I want to get hold of more books by Nigel Tranter

Nigel Tranter OBE (23 November 1909 – 9 January 2000) was a Scottish historian and author. He was a prolific author of architectural and history books about castles, and also of deeply researched historical novels that cover centuries of Scottish history.

I read last night a book my friend handed me to see if this was why his teenage daughter was acting out so much. It was a poorly written teen partying/forbidden romance. I wanted to shred the thing, however much that I read answered a lot going through this girls head. UGH!!!!!!

Outside of that does reading Chem and Biology books to study with my oldest count?

Was last night's reading non-self-help and non-fiction? If so? I commend you for your self-control in not ripping it up. (I commend you in not ripping it up even if it was. lol)

And Chem and Bio textbooks only count is you wanted to read them. (If you don't, I wouldn't be surprised if Post Human would. lol)

*makes a wild guess* is oct31 octane?

even if it happens to me I am none the wiser, as I don't know what dec would be :p

ugh lol, it's a maths joke! :p

oct refers to octal... base 8. 3x8^1 + 1x8^0 = 3x8 + 1 = 24 + 1 = 25.

there, that explains it all right? :)confused:)

then he texted, 31 in octal = 25 in decimal

ohhhh! ;)

The last book I read entirely, that wasn't a Bible commentary, was a biography of Dwight Eisenhower. I like reading history and biography. I am currently reading The Land of Blood and Honey: The Rise of Modern Israel by Martin Van Creveld.

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe.

Bigger, Leaner, Stronger By Michael Matthews

5/3/1 for powerlifting By Jim Wendler

Strength Training Anatomy By Frederic Delavier

All of those books pertained to each other for me to learn how and why to lift weights for strength and health as well as technique and healthy eating/lifestyle.

My last one was Brilliant Illustrator CS6 which is more of a reference book than something you read from cover to cover
although you have that option if necessary.
