That is what you get by combining three awesome things: Puppymonkeybaby.
But yeah it is just a really bad commercial. Will it move product? LOL
Who is their target audience? It makes one wonder, that is for sure.
Hopefully I will forget all about this promptly :)

That is quite a question. Who, indeed, could ever their intended audience be? Are there really such mindless idiots walking among us?

I think that's their point. They made it so crazy that people will talk more about it, giving them more publicity (it worked here). Then people won't forget it, and some will see it at the store and say, "HEY! PuppyMonkeyBaby!" and buy one.

Sorry, but you can't forget it. It's going down in the annals of history as one of the worst Super Bowl commercials, so it gets replayed every year right before the Super Bowl.

And I mean it. I'm very very sorry about that. I wish it was otherwise.

Have you not been keeping up with who is winning as candidates for our next President? Yes, obviously there are many mindless idiots now. We've officially hit the majority of Americans.

Their target audience is boys under 25 years of age who are still spending their parents' money. That's the case with most stupid commercials as well as movies and the music industry.

It's "buzz marketing" - advertising that goes viral quickly because of shock value, people get hypnotized to remember their product, they make oodles of money almost overnight. Doesn't matter if the commercial is soon lost in the next buzz marketing ad, the product has gotten sold, people are hooked on it for the time being.

To most companies, the public is a flock of sheep who mindlessly follow the current trend. Buzz marketing is a guaranteed money maker for at least a short time or until the flock of sheeple follow the next trend.

It's not difficult to see who they're targeting in that bizarro commercial.

Am I the only one who is old enough to remember a commercial in the 70's that was made specifically to annoy you into remembering it? It was so annoying I still do remember it; kind of..."You can call me Ray, Or you can call me ....etc.....but you don't need to call me Johnson." (Repeat, Repeat, Repeat). Ironically, I can't remember what they were selling. :(.

Unfortunately the ad did come to ind the next day. LOL. Yeah, I realized after asking that question that the young men shown in the ad were representative of the target audience. I just wasn't sure who they really are LOL. :)

Well, I don't watch the super bowl or much TV at all, really, so
maybe I will be blessed and can soon forget it completely LOL :)

Absolutely. They are people who suffer from time to time with a personality disorder commonly known as a 'sense of humor'. Some more than others, and in different varieties.
