I don't have an outright favorite film but some I really like are Amazing Grace, The Count of Monte Christo, Legends of the Fall, Dances with Wolves, Open Range.

In comedy I'd say Galaxy Quest and Planes, Trains and Automobiles come out at the top of the pile, I also really like a British film called Martha meet Frank, Daneil and Lawrence but it goes under a different title in the USA and was compromised quite bady by the editing.
