Would you have been one of the apostles? Would you have been... the Judas type? The beloved type, the Peter-bodyguard type?

Would you have been a pharisee? A sadducee? A zealot? Or an extra?

Or one of the people Jesus healed? One of Jesus' friends or accuser?

Good questions..............not sure anyone could answer truthfully though......would be speculative at best, and, possibly self serving?

:)

Haha true, just thought about it when I remembered the first few chapters of the book "The Jesus I Never Knew." My first thought was would I have understood grace during Jesus' time? Which would have been no, because the Holy Spirit hasn't been given to them yet.

So that would've left me with only my knowledge about the jewish laws (obviously because the question assumes I was born as a Jew during Jesus' time) and jewish history which would prove that Jesus' existence made sense, and if He was the messiah, it wouldn't be totally unbelievable. Actually idk anymore haha, I'm getting a headache thinking!

Since I would have been much younger, there is a strong likelihood I would have rejected Jesus. I probably would have been highly Religious, and therefore, just like I was for most of my present life, today, I would not have understood Jesus' message. It took getting past thinking that religion was the way back to God today. It would likely have been even more difficult then.

As embarrassing as it is to say, I would have been more like Saul.... with very little inclination to change into Paul.

BTW, Abigail, I am glad you are a reader. I can easily relate when you reference a book passage like that.

There are too many what if's
Do I have a job or do I have to beg?
By nature I'd like to hide away in some remote place and be on my own, away from everyone.
... Maybe I'd be hiding away in the garden when Jesus went to pray, trying to listen in to his prayer.
