Anyone else sick and tired of all the politics? You know the stuff where people argue over nothing and you hear all the promises of the candidates that you know in your heart they will never keep?

I am ready for it to be over no matter the outcome as we just have garbage to vote for this go round anyway. It is a no win situation.

Please come Lord Jesus. Seriously.

We have the same here at present. The only difference is that it will all be over on 24 June. In case anyone is wondering what I'm on about it is our referendum as to whether we leave the EU or not. Our Prime Minister has rounded up everyone
he can to try and brainwash us all into voting to remain enslaved to Europe, including Obama. We have been warned of economic collapse, WW3, (Im not joking), and every other disaster known to man. He is yet to predict the Plagues of Egypt but there are another eight days before voting so I wouldn't be surprised if he announced them. At present the polls predict that we will vote to leave I hope we do but there are quite a number of people who are still undecided.

It's summer rerun time! That means most of my TV watching is done through streaming -- the paid kind without commercials. And the one show I do watch on TV (Jeopardy) won't be overrun by election commercials until it's not rerun season.

I have no idea what the two candidates said in the last week. The only reason I know the President made a commercial/speech yesterday to denounce everything Trump said was because John and I were in the common room on FB while the infomercial... errr "speech" was on across the room. (I do think it's sad when the President of the United States thinks he has to bolster himself and defend himself over something someone who merely wants the job says negatively about him. He's the Prez, for Pete's sakes! THE Man! His actions over the years should have been enough that he had no need for a defense. And, funny thing, I wasn't even listening, so don't know how he defended or what Trump said. Don't care.)

I won't hate that it's election year until The New Fall Series starts, because that's when they crank up the mudslinging and waste money on recorded messages flung off either through fiber optics or satellites to remind us, as they do annually, what wonderful party members we are and how important we are for those brief weeks thanks to their own legislation that tells us not any ole scammer can call us, just our politicians and charities, oh and utility companies and oh, anyone we've ever done business with and had to give our phone numbers to. THEN, and only then, I become an important member to the Republican Party, but they will never have to bother me again to find out why I'm so important -- like maybe I might need some help or even have an idea that can help others.

(Wouldn't it be cool if politicians really did spend 1-2 hours a day calling their constituents just to hear what's on their minds with the possibility that the politician might actually learn something from doing that? A lot less time to create even more legislation to stop doctors from doing pesky little things like helping their patients in chronic pain by devoiding them of the responsibility of dealing with that pain.)

If tired of politics, t'is the season to avoid commercials and the news. It really is doable.
