I love to read and especially inspired books by other believers.. Some don't think we ought to nor need to but if anyone has any they love... Please list below..

Those are the first who come to mind.

My favorite was always Bill Wallace, but he wrote children's books. I actually got to meet him once when I was a kid and asked him why one of his books was released under two different titles. I forget why, but he assured me that would never happen again lol.

Jules Verne
Alice Munro
Arthur Conan Doyle

my absolute favorite: Dostoyevsky




I also enjoy reading myths, legends, and folk tales from domestic and foreign cultures.

I love Dannah Gresh. She focuses mostly on younger girls, but I've learned a lot from her despite being a bit older than her targeted audience. ;)

Also, John Piper and Charles Stanley.

Which kind of books -- fiction? Nonfiction? Genre?

And what do "some" think we aren't or aren't supposed to do -- read? I'm thinking anyone who is against reading isn't on a forum, because it requires reading. lol

I wrote I like inspired books by other believers. Some think we ought to stick with the Bible.
