So what are all y'all's plans for the holiday weekend? Our town has a BIG celebration -- parade, "Party in the Park," fireworks, there's a golf tourney, a softball tourney, there's a bean supper, a chicken supper, a chicken BBQ -- just all kinds of fun.

I'm excited for it!

that sounds good! I can usually see fireworks from my back deck, so easy viewing.

My hubby and I actually own the tallest structure in our town :)eek:), so we're thinking of viewing the fireworks from the roof (it's flat). The building is actually only a 1/4 mile from the fireworks, so it should be good up there!

I've got a little work for you if you are so inclined. This entails writing your congressman or woman and telling them that you want them to introduce a bill similar to the South Carolina "Founding Principles Act" which their governor Nikki Haley signed into law in June. It requires the study of the U. S. Constitution, the Federalist Papers and "the structure of the government and the role of separation of powers and the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights". There are too many of our kids today who don't have a clue about these and because of that, we are sinking into a Socialist morass.
