Its a trick...the further they pull you into a emotional conversation the more and more you lose your ability for rational thought and logic :(
Words of wisdom right there....then you will get sucked into an emotional whirlpool, and lose yourself like people on Dr. Phil.

I mean seriously, Mr. Darcy is the perfect example of what women dig and he isn't an artistic dilatant.

Oh no, he's a brooding and somewhat rude nut to crack.
Lol, that dude is the man! The emotional stiffness/stoicism is brilliant....
"Mr. Darcy you look nice today"
Response: "I hate this outfit"

It's just the equivalent of one of those tollbooth levers blocking emotional engagement in the conversation.

Seriously, he's almost a paradox. So many women say they want a love story like Elizabeth and Darcy's. Then turn around to describe how they want to be romanced and the description is the exact opposite of how Darcy acted in Pride and Prejudice and even most film adaptations.

When I was younger, I listened to what the ladies said. Now I just emulate Darcy in some key aspects and it has worked out way better.
