It's sad to see some of the body of Christ who have fallen into the weekend warrior mentality. They go to church worship while there and then leave the church only to return to their comfortable lifestyle they have outsider of church meanwhile they expect the pastor to do his job.

God doesn't want us being the national guard. When you got saved you joined the army of God. In the army you're expected to battle on the frontlines. Do you see just the officers of the army fighting out there. Do the soldiers just sit there expecting all the officers to do all the work? We are the body of Christ. Everyone is a soldier. Your pastors are the generals, teachers are your officers, everyone else is the soldiers. Your evangelists and missionarys are like the special forces the green berets.

Being in God's army we are called to do a mission at all costs. Everyone not a few everyone is to spread the good news of Jesus. So I urge each of you if you don't already to join in the fight. We are fighting a spiritual war and the officers need back up. Don't camp out in church and expect them to go it alone. Remember the blueprint I mentioned from Ephesians 4:11-16. Every church was founded upon the blueprint laid out in Ephesians and Acts.

How do you know what they are doing at home during the week? Maybe they are on their knees interceding for the very special forces you mention. Maybe they are quietly witnessing to someone at work or caring for one of their friends or relatives.

Not everyone is called to be a soldier. Some are the "nurses" and care for the wounded. Some are like "generals" using prayer as their planning strategies.

Personally, I see more Christian action among my friends during the week than is advertised so all can be aware of it. And they are not talking about it. You might even see them at church Sunday and wonder why they are not doing more.

Those people you spoke of are doing God's work. However, not everyone is. I'm not saying someone is or isn't all I'm saying is what God wants us to do. Whether or not they are or are not doing what God wants is between them and God. I was just letting people know who might be in ignorance of what God expects of us.

Yes, this is a call to do something in the work of ministry. But doesn't it really address the person's walk with Christ and how surrendered they are? Because if they are, it is the Holy Spirit who inspires, motivates and plants the seed in that person
and gifts them. It is really His work through them. Through the one who is first of all right in their relationship with Christ.

I'll try to inject a bit of humor during my (meant to be friendly) stab - Really, full time? And you actually have time TO GO to church during this battle? I've been a minister for over 25 years, get to attend services two or three times a year, and when I get a break, a REAL break, of an hour or so, I like to come here. You will see that I have only responded a couple dozen times in over two years here....not much time for real fellowship with brothers and sisters when in the field virtually 24/7.

How can you possibly been saying any of this, or a lot of the other stuff stuff you've posted and be saved only 3 weeks as you say? What you say in this post speaks of someone who has been observing for much longer than that.

Well I grew up in church for one. I attended church off and on for a while. I am saved for 3 weeks. However, I research many things thoroughly plus the pastor of our church preached on the very message I brought to light in the post. He said the it with a lot more fire. Sure I have been saved for just a little while, but I've been around many churches and many Christians over the years. I see many problems that God has revealed to me. Problems with the media. Corruption in politics and many other things. I never misled anyone. I just never accepted Christ years ago. I have now and that's what matters.

As for the full time I don't mean become a pastor. I mean we should at least help out the pastor he is not supposed to do it all. We can serve in the church and go out and witness and pray for others go to the hospitals. Say you have 10 churches in your town. Each church has 100 members now that's hopefully 1000 Christians right. Now let's say your churches had all their members go and and witness pray for others etc. That's 1000 people doing work for Jesus. If it's just the pastors that's 10 people for the city doing Jesus's work. See what I mean. Then say the number grows from everyone pitching in now you have 1250 then 1400 then 1550 suddenly before long you have 2000 doubling the number from where you started. I don't mean 24/7 I mean everyone just helping out. Don't be a spectator help out the pastor. He's already spread thin as it is. Does this make sense?

Jesus Christ is not a choice, he chose us! We have to be proud and thankful for the life given us. I agree completely, there is only one life to live, and it's a shame otherwise. God know's the hearts of the sinner as well as the saint, there is no escaping His judgement. Fire or faith, love or wrath, he want's us all to accept the truth. No embracing the lies of Satan without embracing the penalty that come with it!
