Order any salad you want, they can "hold da meat." Just tell them to. I go to my favorite Mexican hangout all the time, and tell them I don't want any meat on whatever I order. It's not a problem for them, 'cuz they save the meat, and it is usually the most expensive ingredient on whatever you order, and they STILL charge you for the item just as if it had meat. It is a '"WIN.....WIN" for them. :)
Yes I know lol I've been doing this for a while :p

Oh! Vegetarian or Vegan?
I went in a Vegan diet and only lasted until day 1 breakfast. I must admit though, felt way more refresh and clean.

By the way, you can tell them to put no meat, at any place I believe. :)
Vegetarian.
I thought about being vegan and totally doubted that I could go that far

What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian? I had just assumed that they meant the same thing.
Vegetarians don't eat meat, Vegans don't eat animal products thus also eliminating any dairy products.

$1 from your purchase of any Blizzard goes to disabled and hospitalized kids today, July 28th.
Maybe I'm too much of a cynic when it comes to this sort of thing.

At times I can't help but wonder how much of this sort of thing from major chains isn't more about increasing income rather than actual charity. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that the charities get the promised money, however I'm pretty sure that the increased business volume for DQ more than offsets the $1 per Blizzard.

Well, of course it does. You thought, perhaps, they just wanted to lose some money? LOL

One is just crazy enough for people to raise their eyebrows in wee disbelief when they speak, and the other is "Certifiable!"

Yeah, that would upset me too.............an huge World Wide Corporation who does not cater to the desires of such a large slice of the population by offering meals to suit their tastes. I mean, shoot, they are losing the business of what.......hmm......ALL THREE OF YA?

Unfortunately, the water footprint of meat products is even bigger than that of dairy. According to another study by Mekonnen and Hoekstra, it takes a total of 425 gallons of water to produce a four-ounce serving of beef in the United States. The same size serving of pork takes 165 gallons of water; for chicken, 66 gallons.

Did someone tell you crops and vegetables grow without water? You tree-huggers can get so silly with your obsessions. Everything requires water, and there is plenty of it.

Idioms for fun

wet blanket.jpg

Literary interpretation is so interesting.

I suppose to some, vegetarians and vegans are also a 'wet blanket' (even tho they don't have a real wet blanket - it's just an idiom, not literal).

Like others I don't say (or self identify with) the vegetarian or vegan label - am just a person who doesn't eat meat, doesn't like personal, corporate or government greed and does respect animals, the environment, healthy living and other persons.

That certainly raises some eye brows and to some might be considered 'certifiable' ...

'food for thoth' (not real food of course - not real thought of course) ...

Yes, but doesn't it all come out in the end?
