Are there any here who deal with ADHD, I was diagnosed as a child and still have it in adulthood. I believe some of my traits spill over onto the autism spectrum. I don't do well with things that are tedious. I remember being in elementary school and becoming so frustrated with my math homework that I would throw my book across the room. If I'm performing one task and I'm interrupted to do something else, it causes me a great deal of anxiety. Also I am all about routine and if my routine is interrupted I'll become extremely irritated.i was thinking I might benefit from Adderall but my wife doesn't think I should. However I do believe I would benefit from speaking to a professional about this.... the best way I can think to describe it is that my mind is I feel like a Ferrari with no brakes

As far as I know you get ADHD from a lack of vitamins and nutrition.

Our son is also struggling with a form of ADHD but if I think back I was also like that, but it all changed when I grew up because I could actually concentrate on things I enjoy (like mathematics).

We now give him supplements and try to feed him the correct foods. We can already see a difference in him. The problem is it is continues and must become a way of life.

Good luck with this.

I would definitely talk to a professional. It sounds like it's really frustrating you and I don't blame you.

Be still and know the Lord is God.

Praying for you, Dude.

I've mostly outgrown it, but I do feel it rearing it's head when I try and try to do / understand something and can't do it.

If you think medicines may help, talk to Your GP and try it out. I have a friend who recently got back to using ritalin (she's about 30), and she says it has changed her life (for the better). Might not work for everyone, but it does for some :)

Also, try to get rid of excess energy somehow

I never went to see if i might be ADHD but my older brother who is in college was actually diagnosed ADHD and he is 34. I can see him struggle with it more days than others. I think for adults to have ADHD is more common than you think. You get try to see where you are now as an adult with a professional and get tested again. I cant imagine the struggle you have daily, hoe you can find others to relate to you. I know you are not aone

I remember one day we were in the car after church and I was on my phone deleting voicemails. My wife wanted me to call my mother and tell her something but I wanted to finish what I was doing first. She became irritated with me for not doing what she asked me to do and I became irritated with her for not letting me finish my current task. This is one area where she and I often butt heads. I can't seem to make her understand that I can't help it and that's just the way my mind works

My Brother was diagnosed with ADD as an adult, I wasn't surprised by his diagnosis. I wish as a kid he could of got the help he needed. He does take medication and it helps him a lot. He owns a business and lives on a ranch with some beautiful animals so it's never held him back, just made things more frustrating sometimes. I'll pray for you Dude. I think you should talk to someone, that person can clarify things to your wife too. God bless you and your wife.
