Who would stay? So did everyone who was wiped out in the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah all end up in heaven after all because Jesus took them up with Him when He left hell?

Where in the bible does it state or imply this assertion?

the "hell" you refer to is the realm of the dead
Not the hell with flames and devils with forked tails from movies

My thought has always been that since Jesus preached to them, they will have absolutely no excuse on judgement day
