Although many who come to the forums here may not know him, one of the greatest composers and singers of modern times passed away yesterday in Inglewood, California.
In the Guardian he was compared to Elvis Presley,. Obviously whoever wrote about Juan Gabraiel as such did not know him or his music, for he iw one of those stellar professionals who has no comparison.
Not only did he seing and write most of his own song, perhaps all of them, he wrote songs for many of the greatesst singers of Spain and Mexico. I cannot say for other countries, but it is certain he wrote songs or many other well-known singers.
He is one-of-akind, and not to take away from Elvis Presley who is also one-of-aking, there is no comparison.
