My Windows Live is not sending or receiving email. Anyone else with thi problem? Do you have a solution?

I have gone into the control panel selecting Windows Live etc. and clicked on the option for repair, and it has not repaired anything.

It is possible it has more to do with MicroSoft thanwith my PC, but.........I am asking for help...........thank you and God bless you.

You may have to completely reinstall the windows live email client.....there should also be an option to backup your messages before uninstalling windows live....either do that or a faster way would be to do a "system restore" to an earlier time (make sure to backup any files you need before doing system restore though) and it will take it back to a tiem when your wmail was working.....hope this helps! It's probably one of MS' dorky updates that is messing up your mail.....im guessing ...

I simply installed this mail program a few years ago It very closely simulates the old Outlook Express, and is just fantastic. And it was free.

I don't like Outlook or Live Mail.... But, I love Outlook Express. It is everything I need in a mail program..... And the OE Classic replacement (since OE is no longer offered) fits me perfectly.

Windows Live mail is a pain to deal with, I've had it junk out every few months and finally quit on it....

Another great desktop mail client is Thunderbird (made from the people who made Mozilla Firefox) it's really easy to setup as long as you have your client's pop/imap address which can easily be found online....if you want it may be something to consider as an alternative to the aging outlook client which is being fazed out by windows live mail.....now outlook just comes with microsoft office but will eventually be replaced by windows live mail....

When I installed W10 I stayed with Windows Live Mail until this latest glitch. I had checked out the mai optio of W10, and left under the impression it was Outlook, but actually all it has as a label is "Mail." I think it may be very much like Outlook, but I cannot say either way. I do know your suggestion gave me the encouragement to try another mail anway, thank you again.

Resolved, sadly:

Going the way of the most logical option, I put the error code in my search engine, and lo, guess what !?

MS has changed my service from the Windows Live I had always used to Outlook. Now I am getting accustomed to MS' Mail that comes with Windows 10, so I will most likely stick with it, but I do have the Outlook on my favorites bar as a back up.

Actually, I did find this several times, Outlook with my name n it, but I thought it was an advertisement somehow linked to my M account..........and so it goes. Thanks again for your kind help, ALL.
