Why is food so interesting? We may be 40, 50 or 60 and think because we've lived so long, we know what we need to know abt food and nutrition. I started on a free course in the wageningenex site on this, but could not find time to finish. i am just suggesting the site for some who may be interested in a short course.

Things helpful relating to food is welcome here, esp those claims w/ proof as native indian, chinese, japanese diets and stuff u know abt or personally experienced, etc.. As we know there are so many myths as well, so pls let us post info and sites that promote good, true stuff, even if they would contradict at times. May i ask not to post recipes for there is a forum for that, and simply good looking or delicious food pix w/ no nutrition facts. Upton and Brooking who wrote The Real Skinny said: One bad (fat) habit is joining Pinterest, as a client of theirs said, who gained 8 lbs after joining it. Pnterest is virtual scrapbooking, the idea of wc is to grab and pin an image u like and post in personal pinboards. It is said the most popular Pinterest topics incl. food and beverage-- where we see delicious, decadent, mouth-watering dishes, wc only make us crave more?.

There s something related i wanted to mention/ask abt. Here we are not that high tech, but do have a few of these. But personally, what new devices or procedures have u used or do u know to determine health condition like body fat, for example. Bioelectric impedance scales, underwater testing, tape measure, skin fold calipers (this said to be common in health clubs)? Thnks.
