I agree with you. I would give anything to see the 2-Party system dissolved. But we have to live in the real world. It is here to stay, and it will remain until America is finally destroyed by it.
Well if everyone would vote third party, we wouldn't be stuck with it. I know Republicans who agree with more of the Libertarian point of view and Democrats too. They don't want to make that leap to the third party.

But, that is never going to happen. Too many people need the safety of belonging to a group. It is kind of scary to a lot of people to stand alone. It is usually only weirdos like me who relish in it.

This notion that because a person has a certain flaw in his character and is then rendered completely corrupt is the same as liking a certain trait in a persons character and rendering said person completely virtuous. It's a really silly and immature way to view people.

It's really unrealistic to expect anyone to be perfect..... there just aren't that many of us.

Truthfully, if Trump had run as an independent, I probably wouldn't waste my vote by choosing him, because as an independent, he probably wouldn't even have made it to the primaries......... even though I feel he is America's only hope.

Honesty:
the quality of being honest.
synonyms: integrity, uprightness, honorableness, honor, morality, morals, ethics, principles, high principles, righteousness, right-mindedness

No, my filthy rags are no cleaner or dirtier than Trumps filthy rags.

See, I want to be pro third party. But I strongly dislike Johnson. He is very pro choice. And hes just spineless. Or at least one I've seen that's how he comes off to me. We have had 8 years of spineless leadership.

I think that sums it up.............. SPINELESS.
We've had decades of it, and it is time to elect someone with passion.

I understand that. He's kind of a flaky guy, I'll say that. I know he won't win. I am definitely not pro abortion, I would do my best and have tried to talk people out of them. I know that there are cases where it is a necessary thing. As a birth control method I think it is horribly wrong.

I actually tried to edit that because I was afraid that was too harsh. Lol. Apparently not?

I appreciate your admission that he is flaky. haha.
But, help me understand the logic of voting for a person you KNOW won't win? I don't love the personality of Trump. There are things about him I don't appreciate. There are things about him I do. But I know who Clinton is. I know what she will do. And I know that a third party vote, historically, elects Clintons. It actually makes me die a little that I can't vote when people are out here either not voting or third party voting. lol.
I'm in no way meaning to sound disrespectful and I absolutely wasn't insinuating that you weren't against abortion. Just challenging your thinking and I'm honestly curious as to WHY you'd throw a vote at a man you know doesn't have a snow flakes chance in...yeah. :p

For some people, I think it provides an easy way to deny any responsibility for what happens in the future. ("Hey! I didn't vote for him/her.")

This was my grandmas logic. I understand the desire to deflect. But it doesn't fix anything at all.
I see the reasoning but it seems wildly illogical.

Sometimes "responsibility" is a tough thing to get people to stand up and accept.

On one issue (probably on several issues) Trump is being honest. He was never in favor of the invasion of Iraq. He was clearly being asked leading questions back in 2002/2003, and appeared to say "yes" just to get rid of the person asking.

In my opinion, no, he went politically correct to attempt to play nicely. There is a difference.

Also, people seem to forget that this was his first ever debate. Ever. And he was obviously out of his element.
Hillary is seasoned at getting dressed in pricey clothes and saying exactly what a teleprompter says...

Other than there being no teleprompters in a debate, I think you are right.

His new handlers have been having him read from one, to "look presidential" like the other candidate. (and like the sitting president does.) Then, they sent him into a debate, telling him not to be himself, but to let her have her way, and keep doing what they have been coaching him to do................ EXCEPT, that he has a lifetime of being himself, and had no script to turn to.

I hope, in future debates, he just accepts the fact that the system is truly rigged, as he has always said (and we all know is true to an extent) and that he never had a chance to win....... and goes down fighting as the man he is, instead of some puppet clone of a politician they are trying to turn him into.

He got into the election because of who he is, not from trying to be some copy of his competition. We deserve who we choose to vote for. And if, as a nation, all we want is more of the same ridicule and humiliation we have accepted for decades, then we certainly know how to sign up for yet another term of it............. Pull the blue lever. (Do you think it was a coincidence that "red" and "blue" were used as the colors of the pills in The Matrix movie?)
