American Idol is being invaded by Gays. First it was DeGeneres, then Adam Lambert and now Elton John. Disgusting.

remember its the act that is disgusting and just pray for the ppl....you cant change em but u can pray that one day they will see the light and change their ways...blessins

I find your attitude towards people who are also loved by our God quiet disgusting actually, we're not the ones who are meant to judge let alone make others feel like they're 'disgusting'.

While we're at it we should start praying for those that eat rare meat (leviticus 19:26), or people that have tattoos (leviticus 19:28), and women who don't know how to submit to their men (1 Timothy 2:11).

I hope that we can see the hypocrisy of picking and choosing which small piece of the Old or New Testament outline our Individual faith. I think that It is better to keep our individual beliefs out of such a non-religious sphere as the entertainment world, just as I think that Marriage has taken on a more secular role and should be open to whomever choses to elevate their relationship status with their partner.

To say that gays are not allowed the rights that womanizers, drug addicts, alcoholics, child abusers, and rapists do, is insane, and ultimately WWJD. Definitely not exclude someone from the right to show their love for another person publicly, and even more simply to express their talent on TV, and compete for equality in some aspect of life!!!

Hate the sin love the sinner, words to live by I've found out... especially when I found out the one of my new co-workers is a wicken. I was totally freaked out about it at first. But then I got to know her, she's a really cool gal, she keeps it on the D.L. Every once in a while she brings up her terra cards, and how they were upset with her 'caues she left 'em out in the rain... I actually found it quite amuzing.

In my honest opinion, I think the entire show is unecessary, do we really need more celebreties? And I think it's unfair to say it's being invaded by gays anyway, a couple a years ago... last year even, people could have said that it was being invaded by Christians. Last year's winner was a Christian, and the third place guy was a Christian, Chris Sligh from a few years back was Christian.

First of all I'm only stating the obvious. when there are nationwide public christian protests against gays, but none against men who oppress their wives, or divorced individuals getting a second marriage.

I understand if you are the type to believe the bible word for word. I simply don't give value to some of the archaic, non-factual, and oppressive verses. I also feel that saying GOD hates is not the same as, God judges, and I believe that those that say they have the only real message of god (false doctrine) would be subject to the same wrath as any other sinner; in that any one persons relationship with god is individual.

So if you are free of sin then perhaps it is right for you to use such strong words. If not I would refrain from your strong hypocritical statements, and since GOD is the only one with no sin, it would be a good bet that being more humble might be a good approach for you. (Matthew 7:1)
As you have just stated "you bring a curse on yourselves", this appears to be a judgement, I hope your ready for yours!

"God hates all sinners..." see now, everyone on this planet sins! every single human being!!! that's one of the curses of being human! because no human is perfect! and just because someone sins doesn't mean that hate God, it means they messed up, just like everyone else does! Martin Luther wasn't perfect, nonoe of the apostles were perfect, Billy Graham wasn't perfect! If you are without sin, please, let me bow down to the All Might God, because he and Christ are the only two beings in the universe that are capable of not sinning.

and not all man kind was an enemy of God before Christ! Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, ALL men of God, that worship him and prayed to him everyday!

I find it sad that we often find fear in founded thoughts, why would her being a modern day wicken cause you fear. and why should she have to keep her religious choice on the "D.L.", this is america, we are all free to practice whatever faith we choose. Im sure your not dumb, you have already showed that you have compassion.

I don't know that I was actually afraid, I think I was really just shocked, pretty much the only people I've ever been in contact with have been Christians, and if not Christian, they were agnostic. But, like I said, I've warmed up to her

I'm glad you are able to share what positive connections can be made, with someone not exactly alike you. I'm sure some christian people you know also have some shocking points of view. I think that it is good to take each piece of information we learn about peoples lives subjectively. One piece of their existence doesn't make them a bad person, Believers have killed, and their faith was key to their existence but did not make them a bad person. Their good people who believe and good people who don't, just as there are bad people who believe and bad people who don't.

Not all gay people are child molesters like you may think. I think Child molesters are in their own category at least that's what I have found on line. They found a lot of them on you tube and thankfully the you tube users have caught a number of them so there isn't any thing to get freaked over about. Usually child molesters are only interested in children. Gay people are usually interested in some one their own age and not children. Have you ever dug deeply and researched this? I have and though opinions will vary because there is so much of the media that clouds what may very well be the reality that we don't see.

you see as I said before either you love God or the world, you cant do them both. I never said that i was without sin, but I am not a sinner, see in order for you answer what I said you need to FIRST, get to know GOD, and SECOND, get to know his WORD, not what you all here man say. if you are living a life with unrepentant sin and you die in it you are going to HELL!! there is noooo other way. and this I say I have no more LOgs or Planks in my eye, for God through Christ Jesus has washed it out. so as God said when you pull the plank out of your eye that you can see clearly, then you can pull the speck out of your brothern eyes. ok now that you know the whole verse. I can see the log or plank, or speck, what ever anyone want to name it, I can see for mine is gone..... it is not what you have done it is about what you are doing now. what are you doin???? maybe this is the reason people insist on living according to the worlds standards and not God's, hmm as I see because they think God don't have a WRAFT, that is why Jesus came to save you all from the Wraft of God, but seeing how some are think without knowledge, and speaking as if they are atheist, not believing the Word of God. Therefore they go about teaching false doctrine, OH it's ok to sin, God love you anyway, it's ok to serve the devil and call yourself a christian, it's ok to have friends that live contrary to why Christ died, but if I agree with the World I wont be cast out.. if every one else is saying it and doing then so can I, the devil is a lier, you agree with it then you too are going to Hell. for as God said if ANY MAN IS A FRIEND TO THE WORLD, HE IS NOT MINE. read the bible, sit at the feet of God to learn of him...... if you think this is judging then it is, and who am I? I am a child of the most HIGH and only true and living God, and as he said when we JUDGE, do it righteously,,,, if we forgive a man his sins; he will be forgiving, and if we don't then he is not forgiving,,, we are a Holy preisthood, a perciular people, a chosen generation, we as Christians, " true christians has been giving the rights through Christ Jesus to Judge" but to do it righteously" I am not condemning no one, they do that themselves. but to tell the truth, I see: it hurts those who are in sin. trust me when you start serving God for real you will change your heart about what you agree with and what you don't.

You may say that you do not live in sin, however if you were to read all of the demands that god makes on his followers than I'm sure you to would be considered living in sin, "it is not what you have done it is about what you are doing now. what are you doin????". and if you are going to take a literal view of the bible then look at (1 Timothy 6). I hope your not saying that we should not have sympathy for those under "the yoke of slavery" or as the bible suggests that blacks should have been content to work even harder for their oppressors simply because their owners were christians.

Before you say that you follow all of Gods decrees re-read Leviticus, try starting at 10, after the sacrifice section because I doubt that you regularly sacrifice animals in the name of JESUS. Pehaps you might discover that you're probably not as accountable as you may think. Then maybe after you get done pulling all of the splinters from your eyes you'll be able to actually see clearly, maybe even try calming down before your next response, because I'm not sure if you meant Wrath, or as you bolded WRAFT. I just want to make sure that you are not following false doctrine, by picking and choosing what is subjective and what is objective, because there is a lot of finite laws in leviticus.

ok for 1. i like my steaks rare...2. i have 21 tattoos and 3 i dont submit to my husband because we are equals in this marriage and he respects me as much as much as i respect him....now if you wish to go on a rant and condemn me to the fires of hell and judge me for those things hon then go for it ....i will pray that you will remember the scripture of not judging...for its not our place to judge others but its gods place....and he loves everyone.....i may not like the act they gays do...but i do love them as human people that god instructs us to do so....we are to love everyone and not hate.....if you will reread what i posted....i said it was the ACT and not the person or people that we should condemn....and we should pray for the people in hopes that one day the spirit will lead them back to the right path where they need to be.....i was not being judgemental to that person....blessings be to you.....

This post was in response to Cookie 39's statements of judgement towards homosexuals, and I do not take any of the verses including Leviticus 18:19 literally. I believe that more focus should be placed on prayers for children in Sudan, women in Saudi Arabia, and to stop the domestic violence that occurs all around the globe. The huge christian anti-gay movement, could better assert their efforts in a direction of real change!!

I merely wanted to point out that if someone is saying that gays should be prayed for for their sins than so should you. If you decide to have tattoos, and eat rare meat, shellfish, or are not subservient to men; the passages are right next to each other, and god says follow all of my laws. He didn't say that the verse about not sleeping with another man is more important. I personally have no judgment or problem with people who chose parts of the bible to follow and others to not, I do that myself. I simply don't think that we even have a right to say what the path best chosen is, especially when something like a tattoo is nearly irreversible. I hope that no one is silly enough to pray for you to get laser surgery, or to look at your tattoo thinking that you should ask for forgiveness, and are living in sin. I'm also glad that you don't feel that you should place judgement, hopefully you will vote that way when the bill is on the ballot!!!!!!!!!!
