Colossians 3.9b-10 [ESV] ... seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator. ''I keep having bad thoughts, but I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior," you say? When we have bad thoughts we need only to give them enough attention to take them in the Name of Jesus and surrender them. Sometimes they come out of habit, our minds race on the things we used to allow ourselves to think. The more we take them to Jesus and put them on the cross along with the other worldly garbage we gather during the day, the more we will find it becomes easier and easier to bring them to Jesus Christ, and He will reward you with His presence as you exercise self control. and serenity in His presence. 2 Corinthians 10.5 [AMP] ... we refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) Colossians 1 9-10 [ESV] And so, from the day we heard [about your love in the Spirit (v. 8), we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
