The only magazines I read are History-, Science- and Photography - related ones

Oh wow,you can't go posting pictures like that without giving everyone a slice.
But it goes against the unethical ethics of the magazines you are talking about :D I watched the video you linked to. I do look at such magazines while I am waiting in my doctor's office for my appointment. Sometimes there will be some hint of a story on the cover that I want to look at in the magazine, and it is almost impossible to find even the table of contents because they are about forty pages of advertising into the magazine. Haha that tells you right there that the mag is mostly advertising, and of course it is obvious they are selling something, youth, a certain type of beauty and fashion, ugly clothes really, lots of make up and other related products, gossip of the rich and famous, etc etc. None of it has ever looked real to me and yet it has definitely and decidedly influenced me through perhaps other subliminal cultural means, because as a young woman, even when I was well within or even under my ideal height/weight parameters, I thought I was fat and needed to lose weight.

However, if you would like a piece of cake I am willing to share :D

I was at the Laundromat last week with my Husband and I read GQ or Gentlemens Quarterly. Never read it before so I wanted to read it. It was boring, that is all.

I don't go through check-out lines anymore because of the garbage on the magazine racks. I certainly wouldn't want my kids to see it.

I have a sister-in-law who will sometimes turn all of the inappropriate magazines around while she's in line so others can't see them either!
