For a month or so around July/August I kept having a dream about butterflies and that's all I
got nothing else and no context.

Then mid August as I was dropping off to sleep I was chatting to God and having a pity party!
Don't know if you ever do that. Anyway I had a dream in which I was jumping up and down on
a pogo stick! I've never been on one in my entire life but it seemed very hard work. I wasn't
getting very far considering the effort I was putting in.

But then I had another dream that I was standing by the garden gate with butterflies flying around.
The difference really struck me, I/we can jump about putting in lots of effort and get nowhere using
up all our energy. Or we can flutter gracefully and effortlessly.

Upon waking I was thinking about those verses of soaring on Eagles wings. The other thing I got
was about release, transformation. I/we should live like transformed people but instead hop
about stuck on a pogo stick going nowhere. I bet you all think I'm nuts now!

But anyway the next day I pulled my back (it was to be the first of three occasions)
which led to back problems, sciatica and then a trapped nerve in my back. I tell you
that while my back is now ok and the sciatica gone, I'm still struggling with the
trapped nerve, it is affecting the way my muscles function in my upper leg.
Even this is now improving slowly but at times I have literally had to limp or hop on
one leg. It has slowed me down I can't walk quickly or run for the bus as the
muscle won't respond quick enough. At times it feels like I have weights strapped
to my leg.

Ive thought a lot about the dream on the pogo stick! That's how I've been! But I have the
option of complaining about it or being like a spiritual butterfly who is free and full of
grace.:)
Butterfly dreams are good dreams miri. Butterflies are beautiful creatures. I've been dreaming about fishes recently. Google said it is good to have fish dreams. I have a feeling that good things are coming.

Everyday is a gift and I am thankful for today. Not so busy today at work that I was able to reply to your post. Life is good.

Miri it is one of the things I will do, I try not to jab people too often, well I try and get blood first time. I am trained to put cannula's in so fluids and meds can be given. When you first put a cannula in you can take bloods from it. I can also take blood directly some people are difficult to take bloods from. I also am being taught to catheterise people, put ng tubes in, how to give subcutaneous injections, and intramuscular injections, suture and many other skills including physical exams and taking histories from patients. I am training to be a new profession in the NHS a Physician Associate. We work alongside Doctors under the supervision of a consultant once qualified and work in the care of patients. Oh I chickened out of taking blood from a patient I knew would be difficult today and also falled cannulated a patient, but then quite a senior doctor struggled. I know my limitations!!!

It has been a good day thus far. After getting up this morning to tend to my Father, I was able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. I had a YouTube video playing in the background that helped to color my dreams. I got up for the second time and began making beef stew, ran my errands in town, and am now back home relaxing for an hour or so until my services are required again.

I'm so glad it is Friday. I hate my job and the changes in the company are not good. I'm grateful to God for the paycheck but yearning for something better in my life.

Aw, it's awful to feel trapped in a job you don't like. I've been there in the past too.

My current job has had its ups and downs too due to staff cuts, general cut backs.
Increased work loads etc. Somehow though God had always worked things out until the
next issue arises. Then He has worked it through again for me and again.

Pray about it, if you feel it is time to move on then God will pave the way.
If He wants you to stay put then He will either change you (I found out the hard
way the problem can sometimes be us), or He will change things at work.

Blessings.

Well it was a typical working day for me.
Got up earlier 6am and got myself ready.
Made my breakfast my aunts breakfast, sorted her tablets for the day.
Made my packed lunch and her packed lunch.
Then the Carer's came in to take care of my aunts needs while I went to work.

Got in after work about 6pm, put out the rubbish for th bin collection tomorrow.
Put on a load of washing, ive got tea cooking - just taking a few minutes out to have a cuppa.

It will probably be around 7.30 pm ish before I can put my feet up for the evening.

Its a long day! Thankfully I only work 3 days a week.

I've been manning the wood smoker today. I started by cold-smoking a chicken that is now roasting in the oven to finish cooking. While I still had hot coals and wood smoke available, I also smoked a dozen pork chops to bag into portions and freeze for use later. I smell very strongly of wood smoke, and I like that.

we love that natural 'wood-smoke' flavor also, but, no pork for us, just green and healthy...

we have recently been given an 'air-oven' and have found the results are amazing as to taste
and purity,..:):)
