So this morning I had an odd dream and this dream I had is not the first of it's kind I have experienced. See sometimes when I am at the point where I am about pass out and sleep but I'm not asleep yet like at the very tipping point before I pass out I seem to hear and see things almost as if my awareness is heightened because my mind is leaving the logical and normal thinking of my mind and entering into a new one because when your sleeping your mind doesn't work like does in the day your train of thoughts are flowing more freely your mind is more open which makes sense why God speaks to people in dreams it's probably much easier for them to listen.

I never know if it's a spiritual experience or if it has to do with the melatonin my brain is producing when I am about to black out but sometimes in this state I see shadow figures randomly appear and can hear voices speaking I don't recognize the voices and I can't make out what they are saying i only know they are saying actual words.
It's rare I enter this kind of experience but I believe it's possible that it's not just my mind playing tricks on me.

But this morning I had a dream in which I saw those shadow figures they look exactly like a human body but they are made of shadows and granted I watched a documentary of sleep paralysis and saw the shadow figures that I sometimes see that night and so it's possible that I only dreamed this dream because of that but what was strange was that this dream only occured this morning after I woke and was trying to back asleep and once again entered that state where I was about to pass out but was still aware and awake it's like dreaming but being awake and asleep at the same time.

The dream was short wherever they were it was red everywhere it was like a red room but it was made of light or something they all sat around a round table all of them the same shadow men I have seen there might have been 10 or more of them i don't really know I honestly want to say there were twelve of them but that would be dishonest as I am not sure how many there really were but they all sat around the table and were drinking wine.

I can't say this dream was from God or not as sometimes I just can't discern it I don't know if this was just because of the documentary or if it was a message of some sort but i just have this gut feeling it wasn't a coincidence and that it was a profound message of some sort but I don't trust my own my mind in this one.

If anyone knows i would appreciate feed back but i also wanted to ask if anyone else has ever seen or experienced these shadow men or suddenly felt a presence and just knew they were there. I don't have sleep paralysis but have seen and experienced very similar things even when I am awake just walking around my house at night

I have sleep paralysis frequently. I hate it, scares me. I myself have never experienced shadow men, but I've read seeing things like shadow men or demons isn't uncommon during sleep paralysis. I think it's just a mind thing, especially if you just watched something about it. I think God would be fairly clear if he trying to relay something to you in a dream.

Well if it was a spiritual dream I don't think it was from God. Assuming that it wasn't because I watched a documentary I would think it was the enemy not just God gives dreams.

But ya I am more inclined to think it was because of the documentary however far before I watched that I have experienced these encounters no one else seems to see hear of feel them except me and I can feel the fear swelling up inside me but inside I know that if i allow the fear to arise and take over it isn't going to end well so normally I have to run into God's arms so to speak just so that these things if they are real cannot harm me.

That hat would be frightening. I usually try and wake myself up and I can't and that's why I hate it, like I have no control.

Yes it can be frightening but I learned how strong God is when I am not through it. In fact you know how I always say it was never my strength that mattered? These experiences are what taught me that

Hi there, I too struggled with sleep paralysis for a few years. It was terrible and used to really disturb me. I remember being conscious that I was awake, during which time I tried to move and I was completely helpless. I felt suffocated, even crushed, it was quite frightning. Sometimes it would happen up to 5 times continually in one night. I used to be anxious about going to sleep. I remember waking up and before I was conscious enough to make a decision I become aware that I was already trying to shout out the name of Jesus, but even in that I was unable and powerless. This went on for a few years as I stated before. I recieved prayer from the elders, confessed my sins to others, read book and quoted scripture, took authority over everything I could even reason may have an attachment towards this horrible experience - and nothing worked. I remember asking the Lord why he would allow me to be oppressed in such a way. the long and short of it however was that after time it just stopped, so regardless of whether it was a spiritual, physical or psyhcological issue, the Lord healed me. All I know for sure is that God can heal us one way or another, and in these types of situations - yes its good to do all the things that we can health, mentally and spiritually to retain a healthy, strong body, mind and spirit. But ultimately we must pursuit the one who is the personification of our healing a deliverence.

Also I am praying for you now God bless and keep you sister :)

I"ve seen those shadow people you mentioned. Tall black figures by the bed & being unable to move. It's pretty scary tbh. I dont think it's a "mind thing", i believe they are demons.

dreams are always multi-purpose in the way that we receive them...most of the time, if we are
'plugged-in' to the different medias, then the influence of them will remain with us even into our
un=consciousness and will rule over our emotions as well as what we feel as REAL feelings as if we were
totally there and awake...this is very dangerous and detrimental to our normal mind's functions...

in a nut shell, most of us, before conversion are totally in bondage to satan's influence and will be open
to his distracting us from our Holy Father's Will...but,,,if we allow ourselves to OPEN the DOORs to
satanic influence, then we will not only experience this realm, but be in bondage to it...

Well they never appear to me when I am in bed as i don't have sleep paralysis but they do appear randomly never even in a specific place or time. i remember my sister buying a house and her friend is one of those people who live for the supernatural apparently can sense things ans see the dead and even speak to the dead ect. I knew she was fake the moment I met her I just sensed it the reason I speak of her is because the first time I went to my sisters house it was about 2 am and I was walking to to the kitchen to get a drink the lights were off but there was enough moon light to see after getting my drink and walking back to my room where I was staying I suddenly felt a presence behind me and i turned around and saw a shadowy figure just standing there not saying anything not doing anything just standing there.

When I told mia about this she said I must be seeing things because her friend checked the house and it was not haunted the next day I met this friend of her and instantly sensed how fake she was what I saw there was real and it wasn't there for a good purpose luckily my sister no longer lives there though.

these figures appear now and then sometimes I am not afraid at all other times I can feel the fear swelling up even looking in the mirror is not a good idea at that time

This is very true sometimes dreams are just dreams and are influenced by life and the things we think about often things we eat things we watch ect. Another thing is I have noticed people are fascinated with the supernatural even Christians and seek out the supernatural but the thing is the stuff that people talk about like being attacked by demons seeing them hearing them breath into their ear or seeing angels speaking with angels all sounds interesting to hear but this isn't something to seek out the realm of the supernatural is very dangerous there is a reason there is a veil between our world and it's world and why we have a limited sight into that veil.

If one is not careful they will open a door they don't want opened

Yea the only time i've experienced it was sleep paralysis related but i've only experienced it like 3 times in my life. In your case is similar to a youtuber i know who communicates to spirits through radio frequencies. He also feels their presence. He thought he could help them, many people told him their demons and he eventually got attacked by them.

see that is exactly what I am talking about when I said people seek out the supernatural and open a door they shouldn't have, I don't seek them out they just appear at times and I have no intention of communicating with them. Some people just have a little more clear view through the veil, I never experienced such things until I became a Christian it was then that I experienced things like this but it's only the shadow figures I experience other things as well I have often times suddenly felt the warm embrace of being in fathers arms even though I don't see his arms I am clearly in them sometimes I can sense the holy spirits presence all around me even sometimes being consumed by a blazing fire

The enemy can appear as something fun and harmless but that's his game. The devil doesn't come through the front door with a tail and horns he comes through the back door in blue jeans and a t-shirt. Remember this for everything you chose to invest your time into in life.

Ya I remember before I was a Christian I was one of these people who was fascinated with the supernatural my sisters and I even made a home made ouija board and tried it out nothing happened luckily, but now I have no desire to seek out such things as I don't need anything to fill the God shaped hole inside me. I am far to focused on seeking God out to try to play those things not mention i learned how scary they can be by becoming a Christian if it was for God I don't know what might have happened to me when they appeared.

Everytime I am terrified by these things I call out to him and he comes rushing to my aid like how a mother runs to protect her child

Stay as far away from those things as possible.

I think that is kinda the logical decision but it's not like I get to choose when they appear

Sure, what's out of your control is out of your control. However the point I was making is that the enemy can be very surreptitious and we can easily be manipulated and not know what we're really getting into. It comes back to a relationship with God and hearing His voice to guide us back to Him at all times.
