I have been thinking about the similarities between the two and it's almost
uncanny.
The establishment being confident how it would go, but both swung
totally the other way.
The nastiness and the split in both nations during and after both campaigns.
The citizens of both countries bucking the expected trend and making their
feelings felt.
The established governments of both countries failing to see the scale of the
problems and trying to gloss over them, which has led to the citizens through
their vote saying enough is enough.
The mud slinging deception and lies during both campaigns.
Here in the Uk there are ongoing challenges to try to over throw the Brexit
decision, and I note the trouble and riots on the news about the US decision.
Even as I am typing this I got a strange overwhelming physical feeling, a sort of
creeping hair standing on end kind of feeling flooding my entire body. That this
is the start of something but I don't know what and I don't know whether it is
for good or bad.
One thing I do know is that neither the Brexit nor the US elections results have
taken God by surprise. They may have "bucked the trend" as far as established
politics are concerned but nothing surprises God.

giant carpet and someone taking the ends and flicking it to shake it.
