So I've decided to make a main thread for all my stupid jobs things that keep happening. It seems like every time I'm looking for a new job, a new thread or several threads follow, which inevitably get abandoned until the next job.

So I'm just gonna put this here . XD

Ok so the most current situation: I've applied for a guest experience position at the Arizona Science Center. It has awesome health, dental, vision, and education possibilities. And it's basically doing exactly what I'm doing at Butterfly Wonderland, but more sciency. I'm super stoked, I really hope I get this.

Because honestly if Butterfly had benefits (and I asked the HR person recently if it's even on their list of things to do and it was most definately not) I would work there forever.

Still waiting for the phone interview at the Science Center. I have stopped looking for jobs for some reason, maybe because I think I might get it....?

So I got a phone interview for a lesser position at the Science center, but they didn't mention or specifically didn't mention that it was part time. I said I was looking for full time and they said they'd email me the results. This of course is by the same company that when I'd not gotten an email confirmation after the first phone interview and followed up with hr, they emailed me basicsically saying "Don't email us if they'll tell you then they'll tell you."

If I end up with a full time version of this job it'll be only by the Lord's hand

I just applied for a place in San Francisco called Machine Studio gaming. They look totally awesome and they wanted SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much info. But I admire that, since I can understand them wanting to get the right candidate. They were really about the person being like for the company and the people not so much just getting a 9-5. Plus benefits. Oh sorry, it's a 2D artist position, shoulda mentioned that.

Finding a job can be very exhausting and discouraging and if I may I will share my journey to finding the job I have. This past April/May I applied for an accounting job at a local dealership that I heard about through the grapevine. However, I needed to keep my options open and applied for several jobs while still in school one of which had its own "superhero" which I thought was kinda cool. Anywho, I didn't get it and was discouraged so I called to check in with the dealership and talked to the HR director and she was so nasty over the phone and I felt like someone hit me in the stomach with a baseball bat. A couple weeks go by so I mustered up the courage to call back and they could not find my application, cover letter, or resume I was devastated and about to have a coronary because I didn't know what to do. The assistant told me to breathe and asked if I saved it on my computer, I say yes and she said to email it to her directly and she would take care of it personally....only there was one problem, i couldn't find it on my computer. I started balling and my friend grabbed my laptop and within seconds she found it and we sent the email. Fast forward, I graduated without hearing anything and got a letter in the mail from my auto insurance company about hiring people to work in their finance office so I called and inquired information and landed an interview within two days, I went and as I was leaving the meeting I fell down a flight of concrete stairs messing up my ankle (I knew I should not have taken the stairs haha!) I had to take a class and personality test that evening before qualifying for my second interview. I went home iced my foot/ankle and heard about a couple more jobs to check out which turned out to be dead ends. I was feeling hopeless again and called the dealership to inquire about the job to see if by chance it was still available, it wasn't :( However, I was transferred to the accounting controller and a position just became available that morning as one of her employees gave her two weeks notice and she tried scaring me out of the job which didn't work too well lol. She then told me that I was qualified for the position and would love to sit down with me the next day....so I showed up to the interview in two inch heels and my sore ankle and got a phone call about an hour later stating I got the job. I've been working there five months and counting, I already got a raise and looking to move into a different department which would mean a major pay increase. Why did I share this??? Well, its a story of not giving up on something that God has already put in motion. Just because a job may not look promising does not mean its not meant for you. Hold on to your faith and declare all of God's promises over your life. I know you will find the job God has for you and I pray that he continues to prepare you for it :)

Talking about shenanigans, keep close eye on your ID issues. Some potential 'job offers' could actually be phishers digging for info to steal your identity. If they are asking for what seems to be too much info, it should raise a red flag for you.

So I just applied to a job in customer service, working for a main area but those areas working for other companies. Basically, a call center XD But no commissions, no scripts. I put in the resume and 2 hours later I got a call, and I'm scheduled for for a face to face on Friday. (or at least so I can reschedule it later)

It seems like a weird step down somehow, but at the same time I need benefits and I want to get something where I can help people. I dunno.

I need prayer.

Ok so I looked up the place, and two consecutive reviews of the company said that they didn't do drug or background checks. And I'm sorta like UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM.... It's not in a nice area either so I'm just having a hard time.... part of me wants to just go for it because of health benefits but it won't do me much good if I'm dead. D:

I mean that's an exaggeration but I don't want to be scared for my life basically.

Ok so since that bottomed out, I was looking for more social media positions and found one right around the corner! They called me the same day, and were looking to fill a position for Direct TV. I've actually been getting good reviews that I've looked up for it, so that's a positive.

Here comes the negative. So we have like 5 people who are pregnant right now, and one of them is my alternate at the theater. So I would have to basically leave right before Alene (said girl) has her little girl. I would basically have to train another person. And there is unfortunately no guarantee they would find another person within my two week notice....

sadkfgasdfkasjhdfkjasdhf.

Benefits. Benefits are the main goal here. So it's really tough, because I don't want to leave my Butterfly Wonderland friends in the buff.

Pardon me if there aren't any current correct pronunciation is on this because I'm using text to talk So that DirecTV social media position didn't work out because the office looked like every shell corporation office in every crime drama ever I'm just going to work at my regular job very thankful that God steered me away from that he got it so that I was there early there was a person from another business who helped me find the area and also said yeah that's probably not a good idea So yeah definitely the moral of the story is be careful of what jobs you are willing to go to take an interview at when the jobs are offered on craigslist

To minimize risk, only apply to jobs listed directly on the company's website. If the listing is elsewhere (monster.com, indeed, etc) determine what company it is and go to their official site and search for that same position by requisition number or job title
