Reading through the posts this morning I find myself wondering about my favourite members here and my not-so-favourites (lol) and wonder how they are in reality, if it would in reality be a case of "reversed roles". I have to question myself and consider my position as a Christian because it is judgement of sorts.

There is one young man here (I won't mention his name) that if I met him in reality I probably wouldn't give him the time of day yet his posts inspire me, he is so humble and has turned his life around; resisting a sinful lifestyle to obey The Lord - wow! Yet if I met him I would probably reflect on that sinful lifestyle and not even consider the possibility he could be reborn and a child of God. I seriously have to search my heart! Do we all do this or is it just me?

I often wonder about folks here, what they are like in reality - they're almost always positive but inquisitive thoughts. I know that people aren't always how we imagine them to be - more often than not they aren't. Would we really be close friends with those whose posts we so enjoy reading? Would their lifestyles be poles apart from those of ourselves?

Just reflecting and questioning myself.

lol the funny thing is ive been thinking too How would I react to this and this and her/him and is he the way he acts or is he worse...lol or in some instances Id be like ';if so and so were here and saw this..what would he/she say to me..do I wanna know or is it better for me not to know...'' lol
I got a lot of folks here that as soon as I saw them and give em a big hug..but theres also (only one or two) that I would rather not have anywhere near me. I think I would walk by most with a nod or wave without really considering to react to them in a major way (like notmyown...lol jk ((hugs hehehe)))
I find that its always the same people that always ''shine a too bright light'' and those are the ones I dont want to pass my way. And like you said..who is happy and nice aaaaaaall the time..naw theres a rotten egg. We all get bad days where we slip and do and people go:eek::confused:
and we go *facepalms
but we r human.. Maybe some people on here are secretly robots but i dunno.

There are quite a few members that I would love to meet and would take them at face value. I realize that these are real people that write these posts sharing a little bit about themselves. I pray for these peeps and my wife does the same. We have only met one member, Willie-T, several times for lunch and he is exactly who he portrays himself to be, basically a good person to get to know. There are others that I hope to meet one day.

All of yall on Christian chat are my favorite members.
I enjoy reading everyone's post. Some I like to talk to, others I like to argue with.
I'd give anyone the time of day if they ask.

I found that cat in my pic 3 years ago. She was a kitten that would fit in the palm of my hand. She is the lion in my living room.

I always listen to my instinct and go by the rule, when someone shows you who they are, whether it be through posts or messages, believe them and then leave them to the Lord.

Conversely, I've had the privilege of creating long lasting friendships from here. Not just on my own soil but across the seas too. I didn't so much get to know them through posts as I did building friendships one on one then meeting in person. They were always exactly who I'd gotten to know and came to love in Christ.

I was always indifferent to animals, but that cat has kept me great company the past year.
Now I have to say this for the first time ever, I love a cat.

Uhhhh I pretty much like everyone here, and would like to meet them in one way or another. Of course I realize that I wouldnt end up becoming each members best friend ever, and of course irl even with just casual friendship there has to be some sort of *click* between the two people to really get anywhere together. But even still, the vast majority of people on this site are really great, imo. And I think it would be awesome to meet them.

Of course, there are a few here that Im pretty sour to. But really, the only people I ever really become sour with here are people who either encourage others to live against God/ make others who follow God feel bad for following Him or people who seem like they are creating division and forming alliances with other members. But there are like really very few people on this forum that I think fit that bill.

Everyone has their own issues or struggles, some people have harder lives than others, and some deal with frustrations that may make them seem a bit unfriendly at times. Some people have a more passionate stance than others and may take things more seriously than the next person. Or some people may not have the same outlook on a situation than another may have, and have a hard time understanding the other person due to the judgments they have already made about said person/ situation. And some people may say something that irks you and at first make you mad, but when you take a step back and think about what they may have went through to think that way, you have a bit more compassion for them.

I think as long as that person isnt spreading chaos and division, or misleading others, and actually tries to be a good member of the community and has their heart set on Christ, then they must be a cool person that Id like to meet.
Maybe Im just super optimistic, though : p

Yes. Sometimes I even have disagreements with someone I am actually very fond of - that's just individuality.

I was just reflecting this morning which I often do when it's early and there aren't many people around. None of us are perfect and we all struggle with something - even sin.
